The information is available with the government, says its affidavit. However, it questions the motive behind the PIL and the timing during the elections. The timing is not because of elections. The timing is because the government received the information just recently in March 2009. The truth has to come out as soon as the government gets it - irrespective of the fact that it is election. In fact, its better that it comes out during elections. The people's memory is short. They will vote out the corrupt only if they get to know about the corruption during the election. 5 years later, no one will care. Therefore, the timing as well as the motive is perfect. If someone is questioning it, then it is that someone, who has more to answer. It proves that they have something to hide and so they are scared. If it is the BJP that has filed the PIL, then it means that they are not scared of the unknown names in the list.
Why making public the intent the Govt.has warned the depositers who have stashed away black money abroad and can now withdraw the deposits ? Govt. should have just done it without warning.
When BJP went hammer and tongs on this issue,the Cong made it as though there was nothing in this and the figures were all wrong.Now comes this shameless affidavit for political gain.When exposed the Cong scurries with this affidavit. The intriguing thing is when the names are exposed there will be all hell.Friends of big politicians will be involved.Who will really expose this?So it will be quietly buried after elections.Sad plunder of Indian wealth.The BJP promise if implemented will be revolutionary,but who knows how it will end.

kaangress has better estimate of the figures, they just asked about each other accounts and came to the conclusion that Advani was lying. Maybe some Kaangress leaders had made more money than others and did not want to tell the correct amount. there is black money and then there is blacker money-LOL

Congress knows very well that all the kickback money recieved by congi man (you know who) is lying in swiss bank. The affidavit they given to the SC is just a eye wash. Again they will use CBI to squash up the affidavit
