false cases
by praveen chapa on May 01, 2009 03:36 PM  | Hide replies

In April 2009, the Times of India ran a story claiming that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) setup by the Supreme Court of India to investigate and expediate the Gujarat riot cases had submitted before the Court that Teesta Setalvad had cooked up cases of violence to spice up the incidents. The SIT which is headed by former CBI director, R K Raghavan has said that false witnesses were tutored to give evidence about imaginary incidents by Teesta Setalvad and other NGOs.[16] The SIT charged her of “cooking up macabre tales of killings”.[17]

The court was told that 22 witnesses, who had submitted identical affidavits before various courts relating to riot incidents, were questioned by SIT and it was found that the witnesses had not actually witnessed the incidents and they were tutored and the affidavits were handed over to them by Setalvad.[17]

The report which was brought to the notice of the bench consisting of Justices Arijit Pasayat, P Sathasivam and Aftab Alam, noted that the much publicised case of a pregnant muslim woman Kausar Banu being gangraped by a mob and foetus being removed with sharp weapons, was also cooked up and false.[16][18].

Yes Teesta the Nation also wants to know "from where u got Audi and Bunglow in Cuffe Parade in Mumbai". Also is it true that your relative got a ticket from congress in Maharashtra?

Let there be an investigation into the sources of funds of Teesta and if the SIT has found that Teesta created false witnesses and spread propaganda what action should be taken against her? Now who is secular? Teesta?

Does law says that Afzal guru should not be hanged?
If supreme court has convicted someone, why should he not be hanged? I am a hi**du but if there is a choice between my country and my religion, I would not even think twice before choosing my country. Can you and your other brothers say the same?

Yet she got Padma Shri. And goverment is not having the conscience to withdraw the award. What does this convey to the country? You also fabricate stories and cook up reports, we will honour you with the highest awards for your 'journalism'. And public does not raise their voice to withdraw the award? What a shame!

ask ur leaders to take up these issues on public platform, instead of taking the issue of weak PM, browm monies, minority appeasement. WHAT SHAME THAT JINNAH SECULARISM IS PREFERRED TO PSEUDO SEVULARISM. WHEN THE TIME FOR BLOWING THE PSKI OUT OF THIS WORLD WAS THEREM THE ARMY WAS WITHDRAWN WITHOUT FIRING A SINGLE SHOT. AND STRANGELY ENOUGH THE SAME PEOPLE ARE NOW BOASTING OF MUSCLE POWER (AND ONE OF THEM IS BOASTING THAT HE KNOWS THEIR LANGUAGE AND WILL REVEAL THE LANGUAGE LATER ON).

Read the history yourself and try to understand how much of land the country lost in its wars with Pakistan and China and don't be fooled by what Rahul/Sonia say. Who virtually brought the existence of PoK after the Simla agreement, when the war was actually won by India. What was the motive behind the gift?

Instead she received Padma Shri. This is the state of the country. If government was honest and sincere, it should have withdrawn the award.
