Mr PM, Fight Directly
by CongressIN on Mar 28, 2009 07:35 PM  | Hide replies

Can he? Will he? These are questions that naturally arise when it comes to Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh’s membership of the Rajya Sabha, not of the Lok Sabha, and his refusal — for reasons best known to the Congress — to fight directly and enter the House of the People. In other words, can Dr Singh fight a Lok Sabha election and win it too, from any constituency of his choice? Or will he? Let us also ask Asom Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, who is proud of having a man no less than the Prime Minister himself to represent the State in the Rajya Sabha, as to what stops him from requesting Dr Singh to contest from a constituency most secure for the party in the State, given that Dr Singh has been a Rajya Sabha member from Asom all these years and under the assumption that he might have served the State in a way far better than others in his capacity as the most powerful political executive of the country for the last five years. We would like to hear Mr Gogoi as to the constraints that the Prime Minister would face in Asom if he were to seek a direct mandate from the electorate. We would also like to hear the Congress enlighten us as to what really restrains the party from asking its prime ministerial candidate to reach out to the people directly, seek their votes and win the election by a handsome margin if he can.

Or is it that the Congress is well aware of the inability of Dr Manmohan Singh to win a Lok Sabha election because he is not at all a mass leader and because the party cannot afford such huge embarrassment and humiliation if he is defeated in a direct election? We do not know, but it is the moral duty of the Congress — if of course it has a sense of political morality — to tell the people the reason why it wants such an easy Rajya Sabha life, without the sweat and toil that a Lok Sabha election entails, for its prime ministerial candidate.

Vision of RSS and Nehru
by Babun Pape on Mar 28, 2009 07:25 PM  | Hide replies

NDTV is run by Pronoy Roy who is a bengalee. Because there is a hidden law amongst 'RSS and BJP hardcored criminals'that they never allow any Bengalee to prosper in this country, they are trying hard to defame NDTV. Similarly North Indians played dirty games during our freedom time against Bengalees. They informed against 'Khudiram Bose,' Nehru killed Netajee;they created 'Bengal-famine' after being-dog of British and murdered Bengalees in mass, mercilessly. They divided Bengal and Bengalees in multiple pieces. Now they are prohibiting and restricting Bengalees from business, ,jobs and other sectors from each and every state of India since independence by the direction of RSS. Nehru finished 'Shyama Prasad Mukharjee' and used his photo as joke. In the name of bangladeshi infiltrates, BJP and RSS are hitting the living of ill fated Bengalees who came during partition time and quanching their thirst of jelousy, barbarity and vulgarity. They even did not excuse Bangadeshi muslims. Nehru handed over them under notorious Pakistani beduins and khans to beheaed and tortured tremendously. After a long period of molestation, they got rid by Indira Gandhi.Selfish and insane communist parties are destroying WB since 40 long years. What a shame! Nehru and Gandhi sanctioned pensions and medals to those militaries who faught for British against 'Ajad Hind Fowz' of 'Subhash' during 2nd world war. Latter "Gandhiji" was assasssinated by RSS, on direction of Nehru, and he cleared all his obstac

U seem to be influenced by the antinational english media who want to hih light any thing that is anti hindu anti BJP. for you information there a a far greater number of farmer deaths & deaths of adivasis in andhra then during the BJP rule. only the same is not highlighted by the english press . the reason mr gupta is because India happens to be one of the very few major countries in the world whose dominant media is controlled directly or indirectly by foreigners. The usurpation of control has actually been by Americans, much of it through surrogates of evangelical organisations that are in fact quasi-government agencies. In India, most English language media outlets, are, in effect, vying with each other to accelerate the fragmentation of India in consonance with Anglo-American goals. The alleged oppression of minorities is the political bridgehead that modern evangelical organisations have entrenched in the public consciousness, relentlessly distorting its reality and using it ruthlessly to fuel discontent within India. By deliberately misrepresenting the Godhra communal riots as genocide, though both communities suffered, the media has gleefully incited Islamic terrorist attacks against Hindus and harsh international condemnation of India.

Mayaben and Varun Gandhi are the creations of the BJP mindset, of India for only fanatical Hindus. Let us teach BJP a lesson in secularism but not voting for them. Vote for progress, vote Congress. We need energy security as India aims to become a major player in the world markets. So the nuclear deal was good. Vote Congress and throw out BJP and the Left parties from their respective states.

Dude, do u know what is secularism...Go & check the actions of So called Seculars i.e. Congress:
- Quota for Minorities >> This is called Divide & Rule
- Impose Article 370 >> Throw out Kashmiri Pandits and do not allow any Indian to own any land or property in Kashmir >> Another policy of Divide & Rule.........
If each state in India applies 370..what will happen to this nation, but it was done for political gain by Congressis.. They are dividing and bringing quota i.e. Minorities Vs Majorities...
Buddy learn the meaning of Secularism, Hardcore dalals like Amar Singh, Mulayam, Lalu, Karat, Digvijay Singh use this for their benefit..
Its time to awake .."Jaago Re"

BJPs Novel scheme – What did congress do in 60 yrs ZERO
by Desh Premi on Mar 28, 2009 07:02 PM  | Hide replies

Ladli Laxmi Yojana scheme was started by the BJP government in MP in 2006. In a very short time, it has proved to be one of the most successful social welfare schemes in the history of the state.

Under the scheme, the state government buys saving certificates of Rs 6,000 each year for five consecutive years for every girl born in a family.

The girl gets Rs 2,000 after she completes her Class 5, another Rs 4,000 after she completes Class 8, Rs 7,500 after she completes the Class 10, Rs 200 per month in her 11th standard and a lumpsum amount of Rs 1,18,000 after she enters the 12th standard or, alternatively, attains the age of 18.

The principal aim of the scheme is to eliminate school dropout among girl students and to encourage them to study at least upto pre-college level.

This is what I (as an Indian) call development of girl child; unfortunately no media will project this, but will project BJP as T@liban if some Sene beats a girl who goes to a pub only coz it happened in a state ruled by BJP. This bias is going to be the undoing of the Congress

I did 'nt know it was started by BJP.Congress is the biggest curse of the nation. Any party that is overly aggressive in preventing others is bad news for that country like the republicans in US and congress in India.

Any good scheme from BJP is bad for media Yeddyurappa’s budget had encouraging news for several sections of the population — farmers, high school students, officials, researchers, patients, alike.

The decision to send 1000 farmers abroad on a study tour will expose them to different types of farming methods. Further a provision of Rs 750 crores as a support price for farm produce is good news.
Yeddyurappa has given a fillip to ornamental fishery and has given an impetus to the establishment of goshalas for the protection of milch cattle. Extending free power to farmers with upto 10 HP pumpsets, introducing e-tendering to bring in transparency, allotting Rs 2 crore for reviving the river Arkavathy and establishing 500 foot bridges in the Malnad to bring connectivity to remote villages, are all heartening to note.

The Chief Minister also deserves to be congratulated for providing free health insurance to poor families. Another noteworthy point, is the support given to the development of sandalwood cultivation, green villages and medicinal plants

MMS shit scared to face Advani for a open TV debate
by dhandu on Mar 28, 2009 06:59 PM  | Hide replies

A good proposal but not acceptable to PM as he is not a politcian at all. He remembers only Baberi Mosque demolition forgetting that problem started by his party by opening locks of the mosque and remained mute spectator while the demolition was taking place. Since he does not remember who gave taste of emergency to India and who butchered thousands sikhs in 1984 therefore what he is going to debate? Mr.Advani's request for debate to PM is an exercise in futile.

I am sure Congress is not so naive as to give such a lame excuse for not letting Mr. singh to debate Mr. Advani on live TV program. And let the debate happen actually. I am waiting for this "INSTITUTION" of live-public-debate on issues to emerge out of this election. If not anything else.As it is we are heading for a very unstable government ... let these institutions of electoral governance emerge.Voters (citizens) are scrambling for a wholistic view of each political party. And Congress has shrewdly managed the process by not creating such an institution.Even if Advani does not come to power, he will have left a lasting impact on the democracy by enabling the creation of live-public-debate as a major milestone in the national electoral process

He can't speak two words beyond textbook knowledge of economics. Even, he is poor economic student.
