But VP Singh was steeped in Congress culture. And the BJP was not part of his government. They only gave outside support.
In any case, the idea is clear. India has always been a soft state, unwilling to take on the terrorists.

Yes, it's time for Indians to throw out all these parties into Bay of Bengal. There must be a revolution!
The article above states that Mrs maneka Gandhi made a statement to the tune of.."I am proud of being a Sikh. Sikhism was founded to defend Hindus and there is hardly any difference between a Sikh and a Hindu,"...
I suggest that she gets her facts right before making such statements... Sikhism is VERY different from Hinduism although it originated from it... I think her son has already proved how narrow minded he and his family is... Atleast the elders should be more careful while making statements.. that too when they claim to be proud sikhs.
HKL BHAGAT, JAGDISH TYTLER, AND MANY MORE SENIOR CONGRESS LEADERS ENCOURAGED SIKH KILLING IN DELHI AND OTHER PLACES IN INDIA.....NOW THEY ARE TALKING BEING SECULAR.....DAT'S REALLY FUNNY TO KNOW ABT CONGRESS'S REACTION ON THIS ISSUE....WE MUST ASK CONGRESS ABT THE RAPE AND MURDER OF THE SIKH FAMILY IN BOKARO DURING THE ANTI SIKH RIOT.....

The majority of the rioters were from Haryana and Rajasthan. They were brought into Delhi by truckloads to riot and kill Sikhs.

@ho brought them to Delhi? I am curious to know. I was also near Bokaro when the Sikh families were brutally killed there.

Gandhiji never wanted partition. He even asked Nehru to make Jinnah prime Minister, so that division could be stopped. But Nehru was power hungry and so agreed to partition. The only mistake that Gandhiji did was to make Nehru the prime Minsiter, when Patel had majority support in the Congress party. Things would have been different if Patel was the PM. No Pakistan, No Bangladesh, no terrorism. Parameswaran

Hindu's divided India in to 5 pieces.. Brahmins, Kshatriya, Vaishya, Shudras and untouchables. Hindu's and Muslims divided India on the basis of their religions. Political parties are taking advantage of this.

No, It was Jinnah who divided India and whom your leader Advani heaped with praise on his trip to his birthplace Pakistan !!!
Re: Re: Re: TO MC SHETTY

Abe betich*d I am an Indian!!! Your Advani is a Porki and that's why he is so full of praise for Jinnah.

So is Dr Manmohan Singh a Paki. And perhaps Mdm Sonia Gandhi is an Italian. And the Dalai Lama is a Chinese. Where will you stop?
Re: Re: Re: TO MC SHETTY
by Prem Mohan on Mar 26, 2009 07:13 PM
Jinnah was responsible for dividing India, but why did Nehru and Gandhi accept? They had promised never to accept any division of India, particularly on communal lines.

And Your Great Leader ADVANIJI praised JINNAH for Direct Action which killed lakhs of H_inDUS
Re: Re: TO MC SHETTY

If not Jinnah, it would've been someone it would've been someone else. Idea is, Musl!ms wanted a separate country for themselves. Hyderabad and Junagadh didn't want to be a part of India either. There would've been no such place called South India had it not been for Sardar Patels resolve to unite the subcontinent again.
Re: TO MC SHETTY

Go and again read the History books. Gandhiji was dead against the Partition. He said patition "over my dead body". But the situation that time was very fast changing. Jinnah's Direct Action call had resulted in killings of lakhs of ppl. Gandhiji was forced to accept the partition. I think U have learnt your history from those khaki chaddiwalas of Nagpur. What can be expected from them. Their leaders have time and again betrayed the country.
Re: Re: TO MC SHETTY
by Prem Mohan on Mar 26, 2009 07:19 PM
But no one ever criticised Jinnah for Direct Action Day. Our criticism is reserved for Godhra and Modi. Can you explain this?
Re: Re: Re: TO MC SHETTY
by kafir chronicles on Mar 26, 2009 07:25 PM
Because the mainstream media won't utter a word nor is there a mention of it in our history text books. There is a difference between India and Pakistan. Truth in India is generally suppressed to avoid an unpleasant situation. Its called pragmatism and for the "better good" of people. Dig a little deeper and you will know why the sarcastic term "pseudo secularism" came into parlance.

Advani is a senile old man. Don't take his flip-flops too seriously. Back then, India and Pakistan were seriously trying to build bridges and bury the hatchet. Alas, many people in both countries are dead against Pakistan and India having cordial relations. Heck, a whole industry thrives on both sides steeped in hatred for each other.
Re: Re: Re: TO MC SHETTY

But your GREAT leader LK ADVANIJI PRAISED JINNAH FOR THIS. And you GREAT BJP BHAKTAS ARE HAPPY ABOUT IT.

When did I rejoice at Advani's faux pas? Advani is an idiot. I will rejoice the day he leaves BJP and lets the real radicals take over. That will be the day of great rejoicing :) Kapish?

You are free; you are free to go to your temples. You are free to go to your mosques or to any other places of worship in this State of Pakistan. You may belong to any region or caste or creed --that has nothing to do with the business of the State.-- Jinnah, 11th August, 1947

Don't forget the Kargil soldier's coffin scam, Barak missile scandal, Gujarat riots, Attack on Parliament, Operation Parakram, Release of Masood Azhar etc. in just 5 year rule !!!

BLOKE, IT SEEMS YOU HAVE ALREADY THOUGHT OF A NAME FOR THE COUNTRY YOU WANT TO CARVE OUT OF INDIA AND LIVE PEACEFULLY IN.
FAT CHANCE, YOU A'INT GETTNG THERE BEFORE WE HAVE YOU AND ANTI-HINDU GUYS 2 FEET UNDER THE SOIL OF INDIA. WAIT AND WATCH...
She is absolutely right. Congress has no right to talk for sikhs since their leaders killed thousands of them during 1984 congress instigated anti sikh riots. Congress has no business to talk about a few soldiers killed in Kargil war to defend the nation, when they sent peace keeping forces to Sri Lanka and got thousands of soldiers killed in the process. Congress has no business to talk about release of terrorists for saving more than 175 lives when they themselves released terrorists to save just daughter of one politician in J&K. The problem with this party is that they cant think beyond Sonia and Rahul and that is why when then find another member of Gandhi family rising, their BP goes up. The best thing to do is to transport Sonia and company along with her coterie to Italy so that this nation built over a period of 5000 years can live peacefully. In the history of Congress, MMS will be a forgotten man when the Gandhi scion takes over, as it happened to Narasimha Rao. The man who is the cause for the present day refors, is not there in the congress records today. Let them not live in fool's period. The new generation of voters, just dont recognize the Nehru Gandhi family because they are remembered only Gandhi psychophants in the Congress. Parameswaran
