What Mamta did to Nano, Communists have been doing the same for decades. They forced Jay Engineering to move out of Bengal. They saw to it that big giants like Jessop Engineering, Metal Box etc. close their shops in West Bengal. Probably, they are in power today and so they feel the pinch of it. Probably, it is written in the fate of Bengal that they will get such leadership only. Gujrat, Maharashtra on the other hand is being served by leaders, who understand the value of industry and hence,in spite of all their internal problems have never hit the industry.
Parties claim that they are leaving UPA and NDA to partner third front keeping in mind the overall development , peace and harmony... ie., why I think they are nominating Mayawati as PM ;) .... if Mayawati becomes PM probably there would be never be harmony, peace in this country.. look at her state what she is doing.. harrasing people to raise money on her b'day..

people of waste bengal got what they deserve. their obsession with communism is legendary. their anti-americanism is a joke. the only other alternative i.e., trinamool congress is led by rabble-rousers and bazaar demagogues. hats off to the average bengali intelligentsia for having 'NANO-size' brains. 'modernity has bypassed you' o denizens of waste bengal,

There are 2 subjects I d like to throw light on here- No doubt the Communist Govt. in WB speaks of industrialisation and development now, but there was a time when all of us know; when this party did all that is possible to scare the industrialists away. They led militant trade unions, threatened industrialists. They did this for decades! What Mamta did is give them a taste of their own medicine. The Communists said they championed the cause of workers (industrial) to the extent that there was no industry and no workers! Mr. Nirupam Sen is a visionary and so are other stalwards in Govt. But that vision has come so late. What happened to this vision in the 70s when Bengal had so much of industry. The site alloted at Singur was 100% fertile with multiple crops. Why did they not give land in say Purulia or say Bardhamann? There is so much Non Agriculture land there. Site Selection was flawed in the first case. Why did Tata's not ask State govt to re-consider the site inspite of having experience in Site Selection. Mega Projects like PCPIR are locked up indispute at Kulpi and Nayachar. WB should seriously undertake a course in Industrial Site Selection. However, Tit for Tat is no way to move ahead. Mamata should rework her political strategy to win election and the Govt should ponder a little more on how industrialisation is to be carried out unlike the hammer and tong approach they have adopted in the past against industrialisation and now for industrialisation
Indians accuse the whites of racism but Indians are themselves racist. Do only Bengalis live in West Bengal? Biharis and Marwaris in this state reside and they are quite large in number. Therefore while lambasting the politicians bloggers should not become emotive and offensive.

Indians are not racists. Congress party during its tenure of over 50 years, practised the worst kind of apartheid which we accused the then SA of. Congressmen divided people on the basis of religion, caste, subs castes and treated them as separate entities, putting one against the other to get votes and remain power. Today we are practising apartheid more than what SA had done long ago. Parameswaran, Rourkela
So called Communist Party Marxist behaving truely as certainly poor politcal mentality persons have led and mis led the counrty enough. The best example is supporting UPA which actually was a utter psuodo alliance in political sence only to grab power. It was a misery that CPM Govt in west Bengal forced the poor agriculturists to sell land for TATA's ambitious Nano project. Many Industrialist are the habit of grabbing land at least two to three times the actual need even if the expansion in a period of next two decades are considred and TATA's are the worst example of it.If such a short thought policy is made and not corrected timely, if Mrs Mamta Benarjee has supported for such a cause it is shameful to abuse her.Question here is not the personality but the principle. Whether the West Bengal public supports Mamta didi or not an issue at all. She simlpy has exposed the situation of land grab under the celebrity status either as a company or as public personality. It is true that Nano project is needed but the quantum of land demanded and stubborn stand of TATA's is not a welcome one.

A good joke circulates among the great party itself now, it goes like this, "Earlier it was a 24 Carat party, now its a 2 Karat party"

Bhujanga, Mamta says land was fertile, but so far no one proved that it is fertile...If it is so whay there was no farming work done on it...HOw land owners allowed TATA to start to construction work, while WB has been under communism last 50 years..How got cheated by present govt..Fact is that they too wanted development and job for newer generation but Mamta snatched a piece of bread from there mouth...Is the fact and no ne could deny it....If TATA agress all condition of Mamta and what guarantee that she would not ask Ratan TATA to dance on another tune...Ratan TATA is among most genuine business leader in the world...Every one knows it...Mamta cheated people of WB...especially Nandigram

1> Industrialists are grabbing land....
Please note that land transaction is a pure market decision. It will happend only when both parties involved are satisfied, so there is not question of grabbing land. In this case the two parties are West Bengal Industrial Development Corp & M/s Tata. This is a classic case like in Hinjewadi, Pune which is replicated everywhere. First the govt gets huge land from farmers at the prevailing market price.. some big industrials enter the area... land prices shoot up because of this as the economic activity picks up there... farmers now feel cheated as the price at which they have sold the land is very much below what is now prevailing. 2>Mamata Banerjee has opposed the sale of land.... TMC has not opposed the sale of land. What it has opposed is the price the farmers got for their land. They are not opposing industrialisation but at the same time are clueless how it should be done.
In my opinion we need to work on a model of industrialisation which will benefit the farmers as well as the industries. We have a big potential of industrialisation, thanks to our young and energetic population. What we are badly in need is a visionary leadership in politics and mature masses.

So, Vote for BJP and see development..
He never tries his credibility in front of people, he never contests in elections, just a office bearer of the party need not tell the people of Bengal what they will do. If he does his back end work, i.e. his clerical job for the party, he will discover the results of last Panchayat and see how people are actually reacting
