It is not just Raj Thackeray. He is not the only one who is doing this. Actually, he is doing it loudly. Had he been doing it subtly, like Mayawati, Laloo Yadav, Mulayam Singh Yadav, and the list is endless..he would have not drawn as much flak.
To put the perspective now; the problem is deep vented. We have gotten used to fighting (negatively) on the basis of caste, language, sex, religion and what not..We are not used to fighting (positively) on the basis of DEVELOPMENT. If someone does well, instead of wanting to do better, we want to pull him down. On a collective level, this is a disease within the society. Hence our politicians are also following the foot-print! They see that the masses will get provoked if we use caste, creed, religion, sex, language and such other mindless and cheap things..They also see that the masses care shit about development or any such positive emancipation. Hence they use such provocative speeches, stands etc...
Solution: It lies in lookng at yourself. Do you believe in this stupidity? If yes, treat yourself first. If not, then start talking to people (family, friends, whoever you meet) who you find have this sickness. It is not politicians but PEOPLE who need to change. Only then will politicians change.
I strongly believe that Raj Thakeray is just a manifestation of society's thought process and nothing more.
An american visited india and went back to america where he met his indian friend who asked him how did u find my country. The american said it is a great country with solid ancient history and immensely rich with natural resources. The indian friend then asked ….How did u find indians …….?? Indians?? Who indians?? I didnt find or meet a single indian there in india ……. What nonsense?? Who else can u meet in india then……?? The american said …….. In kashmir i met a kashmiri– in punjab a punjabi—– in bihar, maharastra, rajasthan, bengal, tamilnadu bihari, marathi, marwadi, bengali, tamilian, malayali……… then i met a muslim, a hindu a christian, a jain, a buddhist
and many many many more
but not a single indian did i meet
…………………………………………̷ 0;…………….. Think how serious this joke is……………..
The day would not be far off when indeed we would become a collection of nation states as some regional anti-national politicians want ... Fight back Always say i am indian.

Raj, so sad. Shame on us that an outsider passed such a comment. We need to look at ourselves
...and punish all the BJP cadres. Hateful speeches, divisive tactics, buying of votes, hooliganism, vandalism, injustice, minority appeasement, immorality, coercive conversion, cunningless, impropriety these are the property and soul of the Congress. How can the BJP use them? They should be punished. Raj Thackeray need not be punished because he may become an ally later!

This guy Raj Thackerey...should be permanently put behind the bars for trying to divide the country on some obnoxious basis of provincialism. He wants to divide the country like the Balkans on the basis of provincialism...India is one country and must keep this unified identity....one law for everyone....India will definitely shine then. However, guys like Raj Thackerey...should be put behind bars immediately

First remove the hatred that we have among us and then talk about those who express it freely. If people having hatred are put behind bars, more than half of India will be bahind bars.

free speech is not a problem....however as a public figure when someone's free speech endangers the life of masses....then it is a problem...cause one man's idea of free speech endangers the freedom of peaceful life of much greater number of innocents...and in those cases....these public figures should be summarily stopped. The tea/snacks stall owners or the daily working clas of mumbai have nothing to do with politics..they are just daily bread earners who have to run a family....nothing is acceptable that puts these innocents in danger. So what if they are from other states? it is india only....they are not stopping marathas from going to their states....public figures need to be really responsible in what they say...cause their words endanger a lot of innocents

well this problem about migrants is evrwhere even abroad. so you have to make evry state leader realise their lack of working of their state which makes people migrate in humangous numbers to mumbai when the politicians are themself not doing anything about it and are asking their people to go outside to fetch jobs.well about innocents see the way they talk so rudely to people saying that their laloo has told them sit freely in the train and go wherever you want. try and do smthing about that first and than put raj Thackrey on stand atleast he is being vocal about it. and let me tell you this this is not in Mumbai only this has been done in karnataka some months back bot media did not telecast it so often as it did in Mumbai. People of UP were cut alive in Orissa smtime back but i think the medis was sleeping coz guess what they failed to mention and show it on T.V. 24X7 i guess bcoz it would not get them good ratings as this need not happen in Mumbai. Anynews in Mumbai sells like hotcakes especially smthing like this

I dont understand the reason people get angry when someone writes a truth.
Most of what Peter Parker (Not sure who is this guy? is correct. India was never a single country before British. That is not my point. Everyone understands the fact that India is Union of States and everyone has the freedom to move within India without restriction.
The point is;lets assume that anyone from this group live and work somewhere and people from outside your local village/town/district/state coming in to work in the town. If it is filled beyond capacity what will you do?
Lets say if people come to stay at your house and it is filled beyond capacity what will you do?
The fact is that Mumbai has 10 times more people that it can hold; with minimum amenities. Because of migration this number is going up everyyear; the source is mainly the BIMARU states. Lets say if the population growth is steady in those states, I can understand the fact that the migration will stop at some point. But the reality is UP/Bihar/Orissa are grwoing in population more than the rate people leave the place.
That means the migration will keep going and it will reach a point at which Maharasthrians will have to find a new place to live.
We r not against anyone but the fact is MH cant take any more people. There are already 10 times more people than required.
How many of the comment writers here live and work in Mumbai?
If the migration form UP and other Bimaru states contiunue at the rat
