For BJP, there is a great opportunity in this political situation in Maharashtra. While BJP should consolidate in those states it is in power, for expansion the vulnerable states should be searched for. Maharashtra is one of them. Now, the up beat Congress with recent success in General Election if break the relation with NCP in Maharastra as it looks eminent in view of Desmukh and Chauhan's rhetoric, BJP should grab the situation and constitutes a grand alliance along with Siva Sena and NCP or without Siva Sena but with NCP. Strategically, if BJP goes with NCP dropping Siva Sena, this will be better venture and futuristic because with the old age of Bal and there is conflict in Siva Sena, voting catching ability of Siva Sena has reduced.
The willy Sharad Pawer grin is due to this. He knows Congress can not go by what Desmukh and Chauhan say if at all they are doing real politics. He knows voters arithmetic in last election is saying something else. Congress certainly banking on Raj Thakray and may have an alliance with Raj. If that happens Sharad will definitely look for an alliance. And BJP should go for this. If one go by the result of 2004 assembly election, one certainly think that Maharashtra voters have high preferences to Assembly over Parlianment. And BJP going with NCP leaving Siva Sena is more futuristic.

It would be interesting to see a four, perhaps even five sided contest in the coming elections in Maharashtra. A more interesting aspect is that all these parties, probably barring Congress, have strengths in specific regions of the state.
The aam aadmi is complicit in their own demise. People who are complicit in their own demise deserves no pity, because they deliberately chose to act against their own best interests- by falling for a pittance of a bribe- rice at Rs 2.50/kilo for a few months!
The true story is that whatever voting percentage received by NCP is only Congress Voting, the Congress percentage never came down, it is because of dirty game of Mr. Pawar, and his NCP not to vote to Congress Candidate, but Congress workers worked for NCP Candidate, hwich is fine example of Mr. Kalmadi, Pune seat. No nCP worker came on street in favour of him, it was Congress votes which won the Pune seat. Mr. Pawar, knew that, if Congress goes alone, he will finished from Politics, he is only showing Ghost to birds in agriculture land. What Mr. Vilasrao Deshmukh and Mr. Prithiraj Chawahan said is correct, let the Congress go alone in state. Now another story has come, that his relative and storng supporter Mr. Padmasigh Patil, in this case in fact, the ex Home Minister and DGP are responsible, and they must be booked under IPC, nobody above law. In his stronghold Kolhapur, Mr. Pawar, has lost every thing even cloths

Passionate Rebel...
Time will heal this problem too. Tell me MNS campaign in Nashik last year drove out about 50 to 60 K Bhaiyyas from the area, all workers in those small factories around Nashik.
Why are these factories shut still then?
It is more then a year since that happened and no Marathi Manoos has taken up those vacancies, why?
Indian public elected a weak govt of sonia congress for another 5 years. They are supposed to be punished for this crime. Indian public like terrorist attacks, bomb blasts, poverty, unemployment. They have elected 300 crorepatis as MPs who will stay in the airconditioned cabins and enjoy their life with their children and save money for them and their relatives. They have elected 157 MPs with criminal background, they will do dadagri and collect money from the public. Jai ho indian public Jai ho.

And these Crorepati MPs will become multi multi million Crorepatis by the end of their 5 years term, for sure.

illiterate Indians treat election as a masala movies. They have less political consciousness and feel obligation to democracy.
Nothing new here- like changing clothes, Congress dumps one set of filthy criminal goondas and dacoits for another set- just more of the same Cong crap! Any one expecting some real "governance" from this motley band of fetid criminals, would do well to pack their bags and leave town- or rather, the country.
Meera Kumar should Thank Maya of BSP for her name proposal for speaker. Then, SLAP SOnia and BJP-Congress Nexus for pushing her with purpose of cutting Dalit votes and Mayawati.
For the very same reason (threat from Maya), BJP did the opposite to Uma, they UNbalanced her, used and downsized her. Where is Uma's party. That very reason UMA should go and thank Maya, ask how she can develop balance, Dalit direction and say that we should be defiant for the Dalit rights and Dalit PM elected directly by people from Dalit party. Never a Dalit appointee that will be controlled as a Pet like MMS and utilized to capture minority votes.
Pawar should also thank Ambedakrites in Maharastra to be not bought by BJP-Congress bipolar nexus.
Hope there is some defiance left after INDEPENdence in India against gypsy GREED, HATE against the poor (who are called names such as Bhaiya, Bonks, Dalit, OBC, Oriya, etc. ) and manipulation of the POOR against other.
It is beyond doubt, the purpose of appointing Meera Kumar Qualification is not the point. It is beyond doubt, the purpose of appointing Meera Kumar is very POLITICAL and vote related ie selfish designs.
Were she be a qualified Dalit aborginal from non-voting place, she would have no purpose or value for congress-bjp nexus.

congress came to power on rural grounds, bcz the schemes were implimented frm grassroot level, and the biggest landmark has been waving off loans and giving 100 days of job to womens and men frm rural areas.

what a joke, are you thinking minority vote bank will not be DUMPED because Sonia and MMS are not hindu? Quite wrong, india is secular due to majority, not due to the minority. Thus the vote split by BJP-Congress nexus via secular/non-secular, hinud/non-hindu, youth/non-youth, Gypsy/non-gypsy, etc.

Yes .. Congress should compete with Regional parties by stop playing as second fiddle to these. If you look at T.N no party could form government without congress. But for getting stronger, these should stay away from fighting against each other which gives advantage to these regional parties
CONGRESS SHOULD VERYWELL KNOW THAT ONLY MARATHA VOTE CAN MAKE A PARTY WIN THE ELECTION IN MAHARASHTRA. MARATHA VOTER STEADILY MOVING OUT OF CONGRESS THIS IS WHAT RECENT ELECTION VOTE PERCENTAGE SHOWS. I SEE CONGRESS WILL BE ROUTED OUT IF THEY WON'T TIE UP WITH NCP. NCP'S WINNING MARGINS ARE BIG WHILE CONGRESS WON BY THIN MARGIN.

Its only the SS & NNS who are helping Congress to gain by dividing Marathi votes, abd congress has benefited tremendously without increasing its percentage of vote in Maharashtra (especially in Mumbai & Thane). And they know that the same thing will help them again in Assembly polls also.
