No, it will be difficult for the Congress to go alone for Maharshtra Assembly elections. They got many seats for recently concluded elections not on there own merits but because of the rift between Thakarey brothers. A look at the votes will tell us that had the MSN not contested, BJP-SS combine would have got 11 more seats. That means Congress-NCP combine got 11 more seats because of the thackeray family fued. If congress decides to go alone, the NCP will create hurdles for many of their candidates wo eventually will loose. The NCP though is no longer a force to reckon in Maharashtra, however, congress should not forget that they have enough imfluence among rural communities to ensure congress candidates loose and this should be viewed with seriousness by the Congress. The break up in partnership will be an advantage for BJP-SS who will eventually win many more seats to give a run for the money for Congress.

There is no real differentiation now netween Congress & NCP. NCP breakaway on the basis of foreign origin of sonia from congress. Now both daughters of PA sangama & Sharad Pawar are MPs & sharing power with UPA. THE writing is very clear for NCP Supremo. With weak performance in LS either he will have merge NCP with congress or find separate way in assembly elections. A veteran fighter Pawar can read between the lines very well.
Former CM Mr Vilasrao Deshmukh who had to step down has been rewarded agin with central cabinate ministry though 26/11 is still unresolved. WHY ?????

Vilasrao must have ensured funds for the party during his term. Otherwise, there is no reason for him to get recalled!

Dhanajay.... There is no doubt, that Congress is covering up big time. The Ram Pradhan Committee report too is very fishy.
Vilasrao had been called to Delhi to protect him, something is not good about the entire thing.
