Sat, Apr 25 06:10 PM New Delhi, April 24 (IANS) The minorities in Pakistan's Swat Valley have been forced to flee as the Taliban have imposed a tax on non-Muslims, Pakistan Catholic Bishops' Conference (PCBC) president Archbishop Lawrence John Saldanha has said, urging the Pakistani president and prime minister to intervene.
Expressing concern over the government's move to allow the imposition of Sharia laws in parts of the North West Frontier Province, the archbishop said in his letter to the Pakistani leaders: 'We note with sorrow that your government has failed to take stock of the concerns of civil society in Pakistan in your decision.
'Christian, Hindu and Sikh families have been forced to flee because the Taliban imposed on them Jizia, a tax levied on non-Muslims living under Islamic rule,' he said.
The archbishop's letter was released here by the Catholic Bishops' Conference of India (CBCI).

And what would your saviour party do? :-) Extort a similar tax on it's minorities? That would feel like a soothing balm to your troubled soul, right? As it probably would to all who subscribe to your philosophy...
Taliban will attack India with nukes on India due to Congress Sonia's zero knowledge about India. Taliban are going to get nukes from Paistan in few months And India is going to be ruined by Sonia?

Nice to read a balanced comment that is not outright abuse of one party/ names or the other, after some time! Thanks, Lalatendu, my friend! Good to know people like you also are there! One loses hope otherwise...
Even though UPA ruled india worse than NDA with high inflation, job losses, food prices going sky high, farmer suicides, all time high Terror attacks are direct fallout of this 5 year term, BJP failed to highlight them in their campaign but just targeted MMS who is anyway on his way out.
MMS instead of throwing democratic finess to air, should have tried to contest LS polls. He is for sure will not win in any one of 544 constituencies in india. HE is fit for FM not for PM, he knows it but is adamant.

Pratibha Patil will obviously call congress to form the government, just whatever may be their tally of seats. people like kapil sibal and jairam ramesh will supply her with the arguments to do so, using their talents! congress will get the invite on technicalities and not by any ethics! if it is a party with some real guts to fight out in the open and not indulge in shadow boxing and match fixing and vote buying and seat buying, it should have declared manmohan singh as prime ministerial candidate and made him CONTEST lok sabha from any constituency in India! sure bjp will win this election and it will be a NDA government. once advani starts bringing back black money into india, all the non indians and non fighters will live like paupers here or just run away from the country!

I endorse your point that Pratibha Patil will invite UPA to form the next govt., what the results may be? Now is the time for her to pay back the prize of presidency. to Sonia, even if Pratibha had no merit to become president. The nation should remain wigilent, that the conmen of Sonia can not play trick

Maino would not be allowed in the USA presidential elections. What you have said is correct..Indians are obsessed with white skinned people. A white skinnes person knows better than them.
Congress lost this election the day they acted spineless to stand strong and show the world and India wont take terror attacks on its soil lightly . Congress went appealing to the good of callous people instead of devising a strategy to eliminate the conspirators of the attacks without causing any damage to the nation. This could have been done , In hour of crisis like these is when real leadership qualities are put to test a effective leader would have known how to deal with the situation . Appeasement politics doesnt work . Congress and this nation will pay a huge price for the lack of a good visionary leader .
