Since Hinduism is based on CASTE hierarchies, it intrinsically seeds HATRED in your Children (e.g. Varun Gandhi). Hence, * You must vote for your CASTE till 85% of all registered marriages in India are INTER-CASTE or INTER-FAITH. * Only he can UNDERSTAND your culture and IMPROVE your socio-economic status. * And do not worry if he is CORRUPT. This is the only way to STOP dis-integration of India.
A Voter must not vote on the lines of caste. We have already seen the progress made so far by voting a person of our cast.
Voter has to be choosy. Voter must vote a candidate if he/she is:
From a well to do educated and cultured family. Has good knowledge of his constituency and their needs. Focused on development of key areas of his/her constituency like, Education, Health, Infrastructure, Public Transport, Traffic system, Core Administration like the Municipal administration.
Casteism, and the way it manifests itself today is really unfortunate. No shying away either from the historic oppression of lower castes.
Having said that, let other religions not adopt a "holier than Hindu" posture. Each of them has their own horrible skeletons - intolerance & converions, suppression of other faiths, slavery, and their own form of horrible segregation. Recall Apartheid? Black slavery?
Islam was enforced by intolerant Muslim rulers in India - Hindus were taxed extra and oppressed.
Christian countries exploited Blacks ruthlessly and horrifyingly. Even today, in US and Europe, race relations have uneasy undercurrents.
The horrifying bondage of slaves enabled the super-wealth creation of Christian and Muslim empires/countries.
The heinous practice of enticed conversions by the church continues flagrantly (with rice-bags et al). Islamic petrodollars still come in for funding conversions.
Per contra, Hinduism is THE most tolerant and accomodative faith in the world with a "live and let live", non-imposing ethos. We do not consider other faiths "kaafir" or "pagan". Btw, slavery never existed in India.
That people from lower castes cannot hope to advance is not entirely true. There has been enough affrimative action since 1947, and good nos from lower castes have benefitted. Today, they have political power too.
In any case, let Muslims mind their own biz and not poke their nose into Hindu affairs. Same applies to Christians.

You say that in your country (i.e.USA) you do not have all these castes, Can a protestant boy become a father in a catholic church. How many can you count?
Open your eyes it is the money and muscle in India that rule the roost, Caste is support to get the Authority or power?

If you are registered, even though you don't have voter-id, you can take any photo identity like PAN card passport, ration card driving license etc and cast your vote.. don't miss the chance to vote for the right leaders and bring a change.....
I mean all caste had their CM's y not one from Muslim ? I'm sure A Muslim CM will bring back the glory of Old State Hyderabad.So please lets all hope and vote for a Muslim CM.

Why do you want a Muslim CM Aurangzeb? Arent you content with making the Old City a Pakistan? Why do you want to poke around all over the state?
And by the way your community conducts itself (total intolerance towards other religions, we Hindus are Kaafirs - right???), how do you hope to have a Muslim CM get accepted by other faiths? This is not the Mughal or Nizamiyat times pal. Pls wake up.
Be happy with Hyderabad Old City - the nice-n-cool Paki ghetto that it has become.
If your community is interested in the greater democratic and political process in AP, first try to change the scheme of things in Old City. Vote out the MIM for starters.
