Caste in Vedic system
by Satya on Apr 16, 2009 06:12 AM

In the Vedic system caste is based on character/attitude/profession. Every caste is important and is meant to serve God and humanity. In all the Puranas and Gita and Bhagavatam - there is no mention of temples or poojaris. This is no diiferent from a management structure in a company. But in Kali Yuga - the powers that be have hijacked caste for self-benefit.
The Srimad Bhagavatam says "In Kali Yuga, one will be called Brahmin not based on his austerity or spiritual practice - but by a sacred thread". It also says that majority of population will be Sudras. Most of us are Sudras from a Vedic point of view - because we dont own a farm or a business and are employed by companies.

But caste even in its worst form is far better than slavery and killings and forced/cheated conversions preached by religions that originated in the deserts.

Time to act.... Please vote

We have politicians who create regional and religious hatred, politicians who oppose projects like Tata Nano for political gains.

We can change our political system by voting for the right person and persuading/educating people around you to vote for the right person.

Loksatta led by Jayaprakash Narayan(Former IAS)is the only party which said it will not use
1) Money
2) Liquor
3) Religious hatred
4) Regional hatred to win in elections.

It is the only party which said it will not go for strikes to protest against government polocies but will protest in a democratic way.

For a country like India which has a 1100 MW power deficiency importing nuclear technology for power generation is very important. Loksatta is the only party which was not part of the UPA (ruling coilation) which supported the Nuclear deal and urged other parties to support the deal which is very essential for our country.

When govt increased fuel prices because of the increased prices in gulf countries all oppositon parties did unfruitful works like using bullock carts to goto assembly. But loksatta is the only party which said we should reduce our dependency on oil (petrol) we should start using unconventional resources and fuel efficient technologies.

It is the only party which talks about providing good education and health facilities, infrastructure.

Let us all contribute by voting for the right person and campaign for parties like Loksatta which have great principles

Telugu Film hereos are known for enjoying with models and Heroines.

If they get power they will start enjoying whole state ladies.

They are not educated and don't know the real world...they know only acting based on the scripts written by others....

Based on statement I understood how much knowledge you have about Hinduism. Hinduism is not based on caste in Bhagvadgita Krishna says nobody is born with tag called "caste". And there is none called untouchable, low or high caste. In his eyes all are equal.

And one more thing who gave you all this wrong information that SC/ST cant go to Tirupathi, when millions of people visiting the temple , is it practical to ask each one's caste or is there caste scanner or something ??. anyone can visit the temples mentioned by you , but there are some remote villages who have seperate temple for each caste. But i have not seen it only heard of it.

Thats what I am talking about. Long long ago some people who got hold of vedas, updanishads and other scriptures wanted to have all the comforts in life as like any selfish person. These people totaly screwed up the teachings taught by sages, rishis and other mystics. These people spread the wrong message of caste which was not a caste at all , they themselves named in to higher caste since they have the knowledge. Bhudha was a normal human being just like you and me who said that in order to reach god we dont have to read vedas and upanishads.

by dhulipala manoj on Apr 16, 2009 12:08 AM  | Hide replies

Where are the Brahmins in these parties?? Brahmins are known for their good deeds and they are harmless people.... The fact that no political party has fielded a Brahmin candidate shows how corrupted these elections are....

Isn't that nice? I like it that way. At least, Hinduism does not warrant jihad and marrying 4 wives and having two dozen children.
