NDA rule would be judged as the GOLDEN ERA of modern India.
Keeping in mind that when NDA was formed, all the cards were stacked against it. NDA's successes r galore: 1) it is the 1st successful coalition govt that completed it's 5 glorious years without major hiccup. For the 1st time everybody was forced to believe that in india coalition govt could complete it's full period. All the kudos goes to the tallest man of incumbent indian politics Atal Vihari Vajpayee. 2) Sea change in india's infrastructure with the initiation of Golden Quadrilateral/East-West Corridor- vajpayee's brain child. 3) epoch making change in the telecommunication sector where arun's shourie's judicious decision to privatize the telecom sector a bit has paid rich dividend for the tom, dick and hari of this country. Now even a zamander can afford to buy a mobile tells everything. 3)visionary steps towards water harvesting realizing it's importance as many think if there is 4th world war it would be fought on water. 4)testing hydrogen bomb in the face of stiff opposition from left, right and centre thereby annunciating that india has come of age and can no more be bogged down. 5) Ist govt that clipped Chinese wings unlike nitwit jawarlal's weak-kneed policies which later on followed by the successive cangi govt. 6) Winning over the neighbors unlike this filthy incumbent govt which due to it's louche policies has turned even Nepal antagonistic.
More then 1000 people died and 17 explosions & terrorism (Mumbai attack) in UPA period- Answer from congress-Kandhar flight Inflation rises to 12.50%- kandhahar flight Why the govt is too week- kandhahar flight Fools!! dont try to make fool of people always. Some Christian fundamentals will support u due to soniya but the majority is watching.
The difference between Kandhar and Rubia Sayeed is only one in Kandhar compromise hundreds of commoners lives were involved while in the other a single VIP.I am afraid what would have been the language of the SYCOPHANTS if in the kandhar flight Rahul Gandhi our the Vaderas would have been there.BJP need not go on defensive on Kandhar issue. Yes please I am waiting for this. Regarding the growth rate, I would like to say that the growth rate was haded over by Previous NDA government & see the future when Mr.MMS will hand over the growth rate to next government.
People turn to religion to find Solace , identity , connect with ancestors and above all peace of mind .

If one goes through the posts of all the apologists of the saffron brigade, there is only one common thread. Fear of Muslims. Muslim bashing. MOngering fear of Muslims. There is nothing about India or it's development. Nothing about the country. It is a one point agenda. I think the BJP should rename itself the Hindu League, so that it is true to it's ideology. It is the mirror image of Muslim league, which was at least honest enough to concede that it had a one point agenda. I am yet to see any BJP supporter write an email which has no mention of the word Islam or Jihadi or Muslim in it. It is not unlike the Nazis who had a one point anti-Jew agenda.

Please enlighten me as to the relevance of your statements about Muslims growing to 50% in the context of this election when the whole world is reeling from an economic meltdown. In any case, if the and it's overt and covert supporters are so confident about their agenda, why don't they do what Varun did. Put what you said above in their manifesto. That they will take all the steps to ensure that Muslims never become 40%. That should be a winning formula in a country that is 85% Hindu. But alas, the saffron brigade speaks from both the sides of it's mouth. You can't run with the hares and hunt with the hounds. The least you can do is be true to your own philosophy. BUt that cannot be expected of BJPites led by a Jinnah worshipping Advani.

Pakistan is going through a very tough time as they allowed fanatics go unchecked. There is a price to pay for allowing religious extremism. Many innocent Pakistanis have become targets of these violent extremists. BJP and other Hindu outfits are playing the same dangerous game in India for many years and going unchecked. The Indian government is as weak as the Pakistan government in fighting extermism and terrorism. Appeasing right wing Hinduism is a dangerous game that the Congress and BJP are playing for some time, this will have serious repercussions for security in India. We need agovernment that can goern with a stick and not appease any religious group. Advani is not even fit to be a chaprasi at a PM's office and the same applies to most Indian politicians.

Vidisha, I think Nadal referred to Sonia as a 'man' in the ironical sense. Mrs Thatcher was referred to as the "only man in her cabinet" by the British press becasue she was so strong. Hilary Clinton has been referred to in the past as the "only man" in the democratic party for her strength. Ditto Mrs Indira Gandhi.
