We will be forced for dialogue !
by Rajendra Nayak on Apr 11, 2009 09:52 PM

Since we have become slaves of US there will be arm twisting if we do not go for a dialogue with Pakistan. The same statement will be withdrawn by any PM once a new Parliament is constituted because the US will twist our arms and legs till we say yes for a dialogue with Pakistan. Indians have no hopes because of faulty policies which are followed now but Rajiv Gandhi was the one who had opted for Non Aligned Movement and we had bargaining power. Right now, there is no bargaining power except to say yes to each and everything because Nuclear fuel will stop if we say No.

No dialogue with Pakistan >>>>>>>>>>

1. How nuclear deal signing becomes a honor issue of India ? It is he who promised US that the deal will be made through by him "at any cost" and the cost to the nation (or the power enjoying political partners) was to consent to him if the government was to continue. They preferred power and and buckled to resignation pressure of PM. There is nothing like a national honor issue in the this political drama. He is unreasonably trying to stretch his image. Resignation threat does not constitute part of political consensus on any issue. It is a prediction that the nuclear deal is not going to add any substance to the power crisis of India. The crisis shall be resolved by self efforts of India only with merely a nominal contribution by this deal.
2. On the issue of record of Mr. Advani as a home minister, it is enough that there is no "self-boasting" by him unlike Mr. MMS who projects his make bow before nuclear powers to their terms and conditions. If this is any achievement, this could have been done by any other PM (even any non-Congressi) much earlier. The display of strength appears in standing against the adverse currents and not in flown-away. This way he has only displayed his weakness, an adjective, Mr. Advani has been repeatedly pointing-out.
3. Regarding IC-814 hijacking, better he not compares it with 26/11 attack. Any PM would have done sent the commandos within the territory. All Sensible defense strategists regret the Indian absence of immediate surgical strikes.
