Pious thoughts on diverse issues look fine on paper. But the real issue is can Dr. Singh deliver ?. Are these problems so simple that even a statesman like Vajpayee missed ?. Can Congress step out of dynasty shadow and show it has guts ? ( what with the outpourings of sychopancy in the full glare of TV cameras on Monday !)Can the " Responsibilty without accontability" Left permit him to carry along in the path of NDA ?.
To run a country is like managing a multi-billion an company. Success is measured by company's growth: in income, well being of its people, and brand image. At the same time all the people in decision making and operations need to be motivated for giving top performance as a team. I feel we the right person at the helm for making India grow.
Among all reforms,employment must be given priority.The current retirement age must be reduced to 57 years in all Govt and Public sectors.There are few good reasons for that.
1.Immediate employment opportunities(in lakhs).
2.Lot of savings on Govt.,enchequer-Existing highly paid old will be replaced by youth at a nominal salary
3.Youth at working levels even higher levels means efficiency/effectiveness/novel ideas/corruption free/smooth & Fast pace/Time bound.
4.Employment drives away idle thoughts of divisiveness/terrorism etc.
A very intelligent and simple person, if supported well by his party will take India to great heights. Congratualations to him and to Sonia for her wise decision.
