Well begun is half done. BJP has carved a very big pie, forget a niche for itself...I agree with the overall essence of this report...BJP has lost base with the poor and weak. Its image has taken a beating.
After all Politics is about 2 things: Your image and your acumen.
Inspite of doing some goodwork in some of the areas in the last few years BJP (NDA) overestimated their popularity. Their alliance with some regional parties, which were already unpopular for whatsoever reasons, further aggravated their downfall. Peace initiatives with Pakistan or victory of the cricket team alone did not make 'India shinning'. This rude shock should bring it back from complacency and they should make introspection to realise their mistakes & take corrective measures for future.
According to me, what happened yesterday is because of the overconfidence of BJP. Well, whtever happend its good for Indians, atleast minorities can take a sigh of relief. But now th ball is in Congress' court. It their chance to prove it that they are worthful. There many able leader in Congree, both in youngsters and oldies. The congress must choose Manmohan singh as PM. Sonia shouldn't be the PM. Also their hypocritic allies like Laloo and Sharad pawar, should kept at a distance. There was a rumour that Laloo will be the next Deputy PM. Then May GOD Bless India. Well lets see hows things are going.
BJP reduced to less than earlier strength because of concentration only on urban areas and completely forgetting rural sectors.The "agricultural ministry shall be as important as home ministry" shall be the focus of any govt. in office.
Yes I agree 100% that BJP leaders were NOT ONLY overconfidant but rude, loud, and don't care attitude.
They forgot that they came into power by mandate and not of their own capacity. They were busy calling names at Smt. Sonia Gandhi, whereas she was busy meeting common man. She really worked hard. And the results shows it.
