Scandalous a poor country should spend extravagantly on so-called rulers, who seldom take interest in public welfare, once they are elected.

Its all about money , honey !!
Life long security is what Indian politics gets you, official roti, kapda aur makan plus the electricity plus the travels plus this and plus that, above all the plus of making others respect you for what you havent done for them, let alone what has been done...

The earnings given by you in this mail is only 1 per cent of what an MP really earns. Thease are the official and legal earnings you have mentioned. He earns a lot from other sources like providing someone with some business contract, providing someone a license to start an industry making use of his influence etc. Taking per centage from whatever work is undertaken in his constituency and a lot more.

This is the general characteristics of an MP. There may be some honest ones also-Excuse.

An MP's Salary......
by Portia Sambyal on Mar 31, 2004 12:03 PM

I was disgusted to read the details of an MP's pay and perks because these scoundrels do not deserve even a fraction of what is given to them. They have consistently demeaned the dignity of Parliament time and again and watching their utterances and antics makes me feel that the monkeys in the zoo deserve it more!!
