Completely agree with you. Selectors need to understand that we need a Coach who is Strategically bold like Gary Kirsten and not like Ravi Shastri who does nothing and comes hard on players after every defeat...

India have finally decided to settles with Indian coaches. All coaches and selectors have been ordinary players during their time except Kapil and the top guys in BCCI are not cricketers. Coaches cannot make much changes in the technique at this stage. India needs a good manager and he should be a strong guy who must have a say in the playing 11 . Ravi Shastri have not proved himself as a good coach in any level before. Also he talks non sense at times . Unless you have fearless cricketers you cant win abroad.

We don't need a good Manager, we need a good Coach who is strategically bold like Gary Kirsten or Dev Whatmore who always do proper preparation before every away tour unlike Shastri who just sits with his fat tummy, does nothing and goes hard on players after every defeat...

my dear it is the captains call on who the final eleven is...and except the last test test kohli has changed his eleven in each and every test including all the tests that kumble was coach...
shastri as a test batsman has 7 AWAY test 100s one in australia- a double hundred against Mcdermott Reid Hughes Warne, 2 100s against england, 2 100s against pakistan facing bowlers like imran khan sarfraz nawaz and abdul qadir and 2 100s against WI facing bowlers like marshal, roberts, holding, ambrose, walsh, bishop...

team containing dravid sachin ganguly have lost twice to kenya in odis...and guru thinks sachin is the best batsman ganguly is the best captain and what not...
i told you how many away test wins chappell and shastri have as indian coach
now i will tell you dhoni has only 1 away test win vs teams like zim and bd...because he captained no test in zim and only 1 test against bd
ganguly has a very good away test record against the above countries ...ganguly has 6 away test wins against bd and zim ...because he captained against them in 7 away tests...including 1 loss in harare against zim

but that does not make ganguly better captain than dhoni...dhoni has won many more tests against aus eng and sa than ganguly has against these 3 countries...
