Let me correct you on some account. Other than getting the champion of Champion trophy in Australia under Gavaskar captaincy hes a total flop. U heard wrong. Vinoo Mankad,Polly Umrigar,Manoj Prabhakar were far ahead of Shastri in terms of capacity and contribution. BCCI runs like a corporate and tenure of coach is based on performance. If team doesnot perform coach takes chunk of blame all across world in any sports.Thats why hes paid in crores. Perform or perish.

Mamu was total flop as cricketer. Auntyji pls stop posting illogical things
Bowlers are excellent in this series so far and hopefully continue the same trend in the last test also, the main worry is in batting & if the batsman can play with their full potential I think we can wrap the series 2-3 and its high time to leave Rahul & gabbar,,

Auntyji: The fact is this team India is nowhere close to the team led by Dada. This is a team filled with flat track bullies, IPL heroes

if you don't change players you don't know the ability of other players changes is must when team losing games, there are bench players whom they can replace, can drop dhawan, rahul, rahane and try with nair, shaw, vihari
I think more than capability, the intensity to score over the opposition has diminished considerably. Before IPLs, it was a lifetime achievement for one and all to play in the national team and then, the start of the performance to keep the place in the playing XI AND UNDENIABLY, it made a huge difference in their earnings in comparison to what they'd earn playing anywhere else. Now, their life and lifestyle is secured to say the least. So, not much depends on their passion to perform in the tours with national team. This, change in situation has contributed a lot to the depth in commitment...something which is much better in terms of physical fitness but does not come from deep down dil se.

I think we really need RESPECTED coaches like Wright or Kirsten to mentor these headstrong IPL performers.
WE should increase the number of tests and have a pool of good test players than to chose from IPL heroes.

From where will the good test players come. All are interested in instant fame, gratification .Nobody wants to do the hard work. And when you have a captain and coach, who cannot see or look beyond their narrow pompous, egoistic vision , then you will get a bunch of paper tigers only. Sheer hard work is needed especially in Test cricket , but nobody wants to do it or are able to do it . Classic examples, Pandya,Rahul,Dhawan,Vijay. Some like Pant brought in at the spur of the moment, will not be able to face upto the grind. At least tested ones like Karthik, are not given the long rope. The coach feeds on the sycophancy with the captain. The captain feeds on the sycophancy with the coach and a few select players, who are his pets. The Board looks for money , so all in all it is a vicious circle. Ones like Jadeja, Karthik etc will not be given a chance , bcoz they dont toe the line needed by the bosses. No use in bringing Shaw, he is another one , whom the media is heaping praises. We have seen the likes of Rohit , Rahul and their contributions.
