No, I dont think so. For the simple reasons,he may have created many records - but most of them for himself - how many victories India achieved because of his knocks. And for Gods sake dont bring the Greatest ever Bradman in the picture,whose achievements/records/averages were just undisputable.
Sachin as it appears was better manipulator than a player who could be classified as a great player.Sachin was never a consistant player,but a media creation to a larger percentage in relation to his capability.

Totally agree he got much much more than what he deserves for sure.. Bharat Ratna is way too high for him considering missing of Dhyan Chanda and oter greats.
How he used his power for registering 100th Century. For his careers last three years he was out of form and just there in the team for 100th Century. For getting his 100th Century BCCI had to specially keep a one test match with low level West Indies team (not sure is WI was paid for giving century to Sach)
