Mr. Aakar why support reservations in first place instead of merits? Will you accept reservations in medical field as well? Are you okay an open category doctor saying I will not treat reserved category and ice-versa? Instead of bring the nation to ward off this mindset you are supporting it.In last 70 years after independence reservations in not able to bring them their rights, how it bring them now? It time only merit and nothing else to get the job or option to represent India anywhere. I am one of those open category student who lost admission in engineering because there were not reserved class student left to admit and reserved seats where not allowed to be given to open category students that time in year 2001. So stop this nonsense of reservation it is not not going to serve the purpose.
Let Mr Aakar first declare how much reservations he has given to Dalits in his organisation, Amensty International. Infact, he should resign from ED post and give that post to a Dalit - before he professes about Reservation in Sports. Guys like Aakar only preach and do not practice. I suggest that Amnesty International in India should reserve the ED position only to Dalits as India has to set an example to the world and I do not think, the performance of Amnesty will get affected by that. Also the Governing Council of Amnesty India should also have atleast 25% reservation for Dalits, as suggested by Mr Athawale. Will Aakar ensure this, before he preaches others.

There should be reservation in toll collections and free way also.NGOs also should be exempted from it taids or tax cases.great rediff what a write up.

Reservation on the basis of caste & community is as dangerous as corruption & pollution,all three should not be tolerated,let the eligible,hard working & disciplined succeed.
