Hardik Pandya
by Rohit Maroli on Apr 01, 2016 11:29 AM | Hide replies

Dhoni thinks tat every time he can have hardik pandya bowl medium pace half trackers n get away, tats wrong.if Ravindra jadeja, nehra, pandya are ur main bowlers ur bound to suffer. The way we were thrashed with just 3 wickets lost means tat even 220 would hve been chased!

Playing Pandya was a big mistake. He failed as a batsman and bowler in the entire series. He is not upto the mark as far as International cricket is concerned.

in 2014 it was yuvraj
in 2016 it is rahane.
rahane was basically keeping his wicket intact without taking any risk.
we lost 30 runs becoz of this

And what about Dhoni ?

Who stopped him from scoring his stylist sixes that he score in the last bowl to make himself call finisher & all ?

Why he didn't able to hit a six yesterday when Simmons & Rusell were hitting sixes at will ? Why was he constantly taking ones & twos when situation demanded from him to hit fours & sixes ?

What is his NEW EXCUSE for that?

If he was not capable of hitting sixes then he should have sent Pandya up the order. At least he would have scored 3-4 sixes.

Rahane is good player and for T20 he is ?? Look at his run rate it's just about 7 or less runs per over. Look at Rohit or Virat or Dhoni , they are 8, 9 etc. The asking rate for winning is 8 and 9 is superior in T20. Rahane Shilu have speeded up n hitting as there were 4 solid batsman in the wait? This one main reason which captain has to take a call and give out the message to the slow bats man at these matches!! This is not the first time!!

If Rahame had scored 20 more runs India loss was still guaranteed. 192 plus 20 is still way below 300..

Rahane was one of the culprits yesterday. Even if it's not 30 runs short we were definitely 15-20 runs short thanks to his insipid batting.

Rahane was one of the culprit but the biggest culprit was Dhoni. He came in 16'th over & was looking for one's two's instead of fours & sixes.

We were having Pandya, Pandey waiting on benches.

Why he didn't even took the efforts to play power shots ?

He doesn't even had any intention of doing that. What India had achieved by keeping 8 wickets in hand at the end ???

Dhoni shows all his aggressiveness & manhood on reporters & journalists which asks him simple questions, instead of doing this nonsensical dramas at the press conference after the games India would have done better had Dhoni shown some aggressiveness on batting pitch.

India"s Loss to West Indies.

Every Losing Captain has the grace to congratulate the winning opponent first. Watch what Kane Williamson, Darren Sammy,Morgan, and all others in this tournament have done till now and what Dhoni has done. Over the last few years Dhoni has very rarely done that when he loses. Its either blaming the batsmen,or the bowlers, toss or the pitch conditions ( Against Sri Lanka in Pune & South Africa in one of one dayers. These are home conditions . What\'s wrong with adding atleast one or two words of congratulations to an opponent ?

You are correct. Dhoni is a bad loser and he always tries to avoid telling the real reason for the defeat.

last over
by Rehan Ahmed on Apr 01, 2016 10:38 AM

last over should have been given to some regular bowler rather than kohli that was the blunder committed by Dhoni Dhoni played the gamble in 2007 wc final calling joginder for last over and here also he intended for the same but gambling now could not work out he should have thought that here there was no Misbah but a big dangers simmons n russel were there i think Ashwin or Bumrah should have been called

Ashwin could have been given an over in between (considering that he bowled only 2 overs)..so that one of the fast bowlers could have bowled last over....you cant gamble with giving Kohli, the last over..

No excuse at all they played better than us and won the match. Rahane s strike rate was poor. He was under pressure as got only a chance to perform and it was not his mistake. We fell short of 20/25 runs. Ashwin could have taken more care while bowling. He was match winner but yday he has bowling like fool. Other than Kohli no body was interested to score. Rohit should have stayed little more time. Anyway they played well.

Rahane - the culprit
by nilesh trivedi on Apr 01, 2016 10:19 AM | Hide replies

I feel in a 20 over match average of 6 runs per over is a curse especially for an opener when there is less pressure. No doubt Rahane is superb player for a 50 over match but not for 20-20. It was a small stadium and 230 runs was ideal target score.Everything cannot be put on Dhoni and kohli. An opener eats up 6 overs and scores 40 runs is not a good deal. He needs to understanf Rahane is physically weak and finds difficult to hit a six .he is good at ground shots which he performed well. so bascially wrong selection
