An interesting observation
by Raman Krishnaswamy on Dec 02, 2015 10:44 PM

The following observation made by Mr. Gideon Haigh, the well known Cricket Commentator on the pitch issue:
“No cricketer is so dependent on the turf on which the game is played as the spinner; it can make, break, enfang or defang him.”

Also now India should play the last test by keeping in mind not to loose wickets cheaply.. No hurry.. Draw is fine but showcase all skills.

MINNOWS SOUTH AFRICA
by Shilpa Mehta on Nov 30, 2015 12:55 PM  | Hide replies

As I always said : SA SIMPLY CANNOT play Indian spinners & that too on such turning pitches . . Indian spinners could have bowled SA twice in this target of 310 .

In fact , Four Nil was on cards but now it will be Three Nil as rain saved one . South Africa are tigers on their home soil only .

ENG / SA / AUS / NZ are traditionally weak against spin . For them cricket means fast , bounce & swing bowling only .
In tests on turning wickets of India , SA team is minnows before Team India ( like Zim , Bangladesh ,Ireland / Scotland etc )

In fact , Team India scores at least 200 even on fast & bouncy pitches of SA , & here on spinning tracks SA got all out on 79 .

SHAME ON NUMBER ONE TEST SIDE - -

In fact , SA were lucky to win ODI series also , otherwise they cannot beat Team India in India .

Just Chill..South Africa's record in India and Indian subcontinent is far better than record of India in South Africa. I think India is also very lucky here to win both test matches.

Ausies always try to undermine the supremacy of Indian team
by Manohar Rao on Nov 30, 2015 12:45 PM

Ausies have the right to prepare fast pitches as home advantage but according to them India should not exercise the same and prepare pitches as per touring sides advantage. This is pathetic and double speak. the pitch does not helped any one team, even team India struggled to bat on it.There is not a single century from either side.
Test cricket requires lots of patience. T20s and one day internationals are producing slam-blam cricketers with little or no technique at all. If the same slam-blam cricketrs play in the tests then what else you can expect?
Test cricket is the test of technique, patience, planning, endurance and mental strength. If any one of this quality is missing then you can not be a good test cricketer? Most of the modern cricketers lack these qualities. The test era ended with the retirement of Sangakara. Currently there are no test cricketer in the world.
Do not blame the pitch, if you can not bowl or bat on it.There is a saying in Hindi "Nach na aave angan teda" which means you do not know how to dance and blame the floor that it is not straight or level.

Ending TEST in three days is shame.
by pandharinath prabhurajivadekar on Nov 30, 2015 12:33 PM

Weather it is in India or abroad , Ending test match in not even three full days is shame. That means both the teams doesnot know how to play on spin track. Its just because some batsman clicked thats why India won.
Secondly , as such Cricket has started loosing popularity due to excess of the game. If matches starts finishing in three days even sponsors will run away. I think coming days are gloomy

Pathetic
by manoj k devasia on Nov 30, 2015 12:10 PM

Theres no point in watching cricket on indian pitches unless ICC comes up with something to standardize pitches. The realy worrying sign is the top brass of indian cricket is so happy with substandard pitches.

Every home team prepares the track as per their strength & that is beauty of TEST cricket, to play in alien conditions & prove your mettle!

Australians are very selfish team if they win then the pitch is ok with them and if they lose then they point out the pitch. What type of pitch they have prepared for the newzealanders just see to it ok dont interfere here.
