Smartest captain? Shame for playing a slow game when the situation demanded runs. Because of his slow game, others were forced to accelerate and hence lost their wickets. Very smart because he used the other batsmen for his advantage. His daags (call them fans) will be roaming around the streets all night barking on other players. India won over Zimbabwe all fools were head over heels praising his captaincy. What happened now?

it's really unfortunate that a great talent like you went unnoticed. Sometimes, these BCCI selectors are too biased

No,for me truth is sweet, when Australia come here, they dance in the pitch and go blackwashed:)
look at south african players. they were hurt after defeated and look at ours.......... not a single player looked sad after losing , let alone cry. i mean thats the difference........ our players never played for a win

The way i see it is that sissies cry.....why should you cry if you have been outplayed by your opponents?? The fact is that the Aussies outplayed us completely...it is best to take it with grace and move on....in the 1996 world cup, Vinod Kambli cried like a sissy after we were brutalized by the Lankans....the south Africans cried cos the match was close......here we have lost by 95 runs which is a right royal hammering.....

Oh. Sissies fight it to the second last ball, and macho men play like grandmothers?? Nice to know.
A very illustrious batsman while facing the pressure of chasing 359 in Jo-berg 12 years ago, went down on his knees to McGrath in the first over......so let us not blame Virat, he has international experience of only 5 years. You cannot chase 330 in a knockout match, crucify the bowlers for allowing them to score at will....the match was lost at the break....

5 years experience maybe, but has arrogance of someone having played for 50 years.

I totally agree with you. Throught the Aus tour, Indians were unable to beat Aussies in Tests as well as ODI. Also when bowlers allow tailenders to score at the end( 40 runs in last 2 overs.) I know Mitchell Johnson is a decent batsmen, but still, conceding 40 runs against him is too much. Even during the test matches against auussies, Indians allowed the last 5 wickets to score more runs and get away with the match

True. That illustrious player scored 675 runs and was Player of the tournament. Not a single Batsman in the present Team BCCI, even came near 600 runs.

Nice that you are blaming the bowlers NOW. By the way, 12 years back too the bowlers were hammered. Remember? SK you should stop blaming them.
Australia had to make 500 or 600 Runs, Steven Smith should have made 300 Runs, Pile up Record Partnerships and completely Routed Indian team for under 50 runs and Win by a Bigger Mammoth margin. Then Indian players and their families would have been crucified back home.
The difference was that Shami, Yadav and Mohit were not up the same street as Hazelwood, Starc and Johnson....plain and simple.....not that they ever were, it is the media that hyped them up. The first real test and they were ruthlessly exposed. Mohit went for 75 runs in 10 overs, Yadav was a disaster going for 72 runs in 10 overs and Shami was a joke in his final spell.....
Can we ever match Australia? Not on this performance...don;t blame our batsmen, our pathetic bowling allowed them to score 328 on a pitch on which 270/280 would have been par score.....we need a new set of bowlers....

not true. our bowlers got us this far. even in this match they pulled things back and probably went for just 20 runs above par. it is our famous batting that did not rise to the occasion in spite of getting a reasonable start.
Re: Re: Difference between the two teams

310 in Sydney is par score?? Against Hazelwood and Starc?? Are you kidding?? 270/280 is par in Sydney....it is a different matter that our bowling is incompetent and would struggle to keep even the Sri Lankan batting under 280/290......it is our batsmen who have bailed us out by their superb batting.....the problem is our bowling....

if our batsmen cannot score against hazelwood and starc then they are not as good as they are made out to be. throughout the tournament our bowlers have performed better than they were expected to.

Karnik: 233 is more than 280?? Any comment on difference between Virat and Smith? Dhoni and Clarke? Rohit and Finch?
Match was fixed because it was first time Vitat was given ball to bown instead of Raina. In quater final also they won against Bangladesh by managing the things. Great Dhoni has earned a lot for his many next generations.

What would have happened if Raina bowled.? May be he would have given 2/3 runs lesser than virat.Remember Both of them are part time bowlers.
