Srinivasan has good legal council to advise him. SC should not accept his proposal of stepping aside temporarily. He should be ousted for making IPL a joke and playing ugly with sports itself.
There is a proverb - the one who eats fruit escapes and one who gets only skin was caught. NS thought by framing and manipulating the debarring of Sreeshanth and co from cricket will get away his SIL; however the law in India is still exist and taking the course.
The game has a history of being run by people who were engaged in betting, favoritism, nepotism & mostly from political background. The talent was always overlooked and favourites are moved both as players & in role of captains in domestic cricket. This become more pronounced with advent of ODI & T20 which now has money that was never heard of.Players with limited abilities became celebrities & millionaires overnight thanks to IPL.The game is now completely managed by commercial organizations & their owners & Srinivas represents ultimate sins of the game.Well done SC & you should not stop now till this fellow & likes of him are completely exposed & thrown out of the game
BCCI must be devastated with the amount of muck that has come out of M-report!And then you have the ‘sealed envelope’ in addition! This is what likely to happens one day or the other when you run a hush hush non-transparent cosy club having no accountability in an environment increasingly opening up to public scrutiny ! It is evident thanks to its opacity of its system BCCI misdeeds have burst on its face that could mark the beginning of its end unless r BCCI realizes it and goes for course correction for its survival at a time when it is poised to play the leadership role in world cricket. Although SRINI himself has not been named anywhere in the report giving him some reprieve until the SC verdict but the overall moral aspect cannot be ignored altogether ! It is for Srini to take the personal call now. As far as Gurunath is concerned his involvement and status vis--vis CSK is crystal clear. Same with RR, the charged players and their arrogant owners, the Kundras who appear to be guilty of even alleged efforts at cover up ! And then you have media speculations of names of cricketers linked to the ‘sealed envelope’! Thus as things stand it is crystal clear there is no way either CSK or RR could escape the reaches of by-laws of IPL! Given this background, even if SC has not stopped IPL7 auction, it is only proper for BCCI to postpone IPL7 auction and the entire IPL7 schedule of matches on its own until the Mudgal report cobwbs are cleared, SC

(contd.)..cleared, SC verdict are out and the final picture emerges.
How can SC take decision who is to come to power and who is not to come to power? In that case, why SC could not have also asked MMS to resign for the sake of smooth moving in so many scam cases?!! Meaning ,in future will SC decide who is to rule the country?!! It is not fair decision. People may feel it may be a kind of gambling!! It is not good not only to Cricket but also whole nation in future. SC should think about this and Guilty should be punished only after probe is over.

have some maturity before commenting. bcci is not elected by people. there are some restrictions when commenting on government. BCCI is like private organisation. when anything involves public money used by private organisation, SC has the right to dismiss them. grow up rajamurthy

I agree with rajamurthy, how can SC arbitrarily ask Gavaskar to become BCCI president? Srinivasan was elected by state boards. So they have to ask him to leave and then elect a new president. SC has to see if the law and constitution are upholded and rights of citizen are protected.

SC was not strict on Bringing Back Black Money or Holding Corrupt and Murderous Politicians from contesting a election or in Robert vadra case. Why they where in hurry to Ban CSK and RR.
Did SC investigate other teams? Why only target CSK and RR? SC saying KKR is clean team with ISI agent at helm? Something fishy with this whole affair.

go and lock yourself in a toilet because thats where you belong and your job is to clean the toilet for the rest of your life
It seems that whenever the Govt does not want to act, it leaves the Supreme Court to take a decision, to be implemented. BCCI is a greedy private body that has been allowed to run and now ruin Indian cricket. With so many politicians in BCCI, Srini must have learnt to be as shameless as our netas are. The point is, be it BCCI or any other sports body, we must ban politicians and their blood relations from holding any position at any level from heading sports bodies. Till then, Srinis, Kalmadis, Abhay Chautalas and Mehrotras, all equally damaging to sport, will rule the roost.
