Not really, but could be!!!

In 2nd test especially, McCullum - someone more famous for his 20-20 type & whirlwind exploits earlier - just showed the other end of his skills & temperament, and stood in MSD's way. Team India had its chances in both the Tests but could not capitalise which made the difference. A few umpiring decisions in Test 1 also played their part, but what is to blame but our own BCCI's refusal to support the DRS review system. Dhoni was right abt the few positives; many of the folks found among the runs towards the end - Dhawan, Rahane apart from Kohli & Dhoni. Still none of them showed the patience or persistence to grow in to the mould of a Dravid or Tendulkar - the few Indians who actually had at least some consistent scores overseas in recent times. Also the pacers did a splendid job, but for McCullum playing spoilsport. Don't forget we did badly in the shorter version as well there. Team in general kept improving - gradually though - from the start of the tour to the end. A few practice matches initially would apparently have made a lot more difference. Not sure the blame for that while fixing the schedule should also be shared by the captain. And yes, just hoping he come out clean on the IPL CSK murky things, else he will end up among the worst.

supreme of cricket is DHONI

Dhoni is the best captain, but rahane, rohit, dhawan and ashwin needs some traumatic tutions, they shud be rested for test matches they are feared and not focussed. Openers are not fit for foreign soil. Bowlers not helping in many ways. No controlled balanced bowling.

Let India win one match and or let Dhoni's team win a match, immediately this will turn. Immediately Dhoni is hero, Dhoni is India and India is Dhoni all will start. People are crazy and emotional.

When India plays out side our country and if it fails to win it is better fir the host country there by indirectly benefiting Cricket. We must enjoy India's win When They play in india. So no problem let him continue. sharma Bangalore

Don't blame captain alone, blame entire unit firstly sack coach

First improve the bowling, then blame the team, we need to improve pace bowling attack, otherwise diffcult to survive for long run, particularly in australian and sa pitches.

Team Game Team should be blamed
by MUKUND RAO on Feb 19, 2014 05:37 PM

1st Test -Indian win was possible but rash strokes from Rohit/Shikhar/Jadeja gave the match. 2nd Test 3 missed catches and 500 runs in the kitty and winning match drawn. VIJAY ROHIT JADEJA why so many chances.JAAGO SELECTORS JAAGO.LEARN FROM AUSTRALIA.Mahi is responsible but not alone team should be blamed.

WHAT NONSENSE ??
by Shilpa Mehta on Feb 19, 2014 05:27 PM  | Hide replies

Is a true warrior, saviour & match winner .

No one in current Team ia equal to MSD .

His personal performance everywhere is good . Let it be SA , NZ or ENG or at home . His captainship is excellent .

What will he do if all others , specially bowlers do not perform & can't take wickets ??

MSD's & Kolhi's personnal performances goes in vain due to other eight - nine
non performers .

This is a team work . No individual can win
matches for the nation barring one or two.

So there is no point accusing DHONI .

It's because of MSD , we are at least winning at home . Remove him & we will see similar fate even at home as seen overseas .

Shilpaji you are wright in some case.
Yes as a captain MSD performing in some critical situation..but if you look back in his individual performance its not satisfactory. It not a mean that MSD is a poor captain, but he must change himself as per game plan & not to support any player even he is not performing well.In all win case MSD luck was supported to him... & now..we only supporting to him due to his past....Why ???
we live in present...
So our aspect is must aggressive...

IS THERE ANY DOUBT?
by subrata banerjee on Feb 19, 2014 05:27 PM  | Hide replies

Dhoni at best can secure his place in Indian cricket team as a middle order batsman and that is all. He should neither be captain nor wicket keeper. His quality as wicket keeper is very bad. He doesn't have sense where to stand behind the wicket according to the bounce and speed of the wicket. His agility as wicket keeper is definitely questionable. He is not only a very stiff but also he goes up in every ball irrespective of bounce of each delivery. It must be admitted that wicket keeping is a specialist zone where quality can not be compromised. Because, a single miss catch may cost the game. Think Macculam who were dropped 3 times including one from the hands of wicket keeper, which is unpardonable.
