extra income

extra income to the cricketers is to be blamed which may be one of the factors of poor performance.Let their income be equivalent to any international sport in India like for hockey players, tennis, etc.

constitute a ministry
by Mike Teflon on Aug 19, 2014 02:01 PM

Since Indian Cricket is doling out loads of money, a special ministry of state may be constituted and 75% of revenues be taken over and spent back on tax payers.

This way BCCI is stripped of its arrogance and unwanted weeds like businessmen do not have any interest left in its administration.

It's just a game governing body and should remain so and all malices like DRS, Overseas humiliation, poor tracks and etc fall in place.

is there any doubt?

IPL has completely changed the outlook, attitude and approach of many cricketers. Now they are only interested in glamour, glitz and money.

I will not blame IPL totally
by SR Hari on Aug 19, 2014 01:43 PM

I will not blame IPL entirely for the poor performance of Indians. At that level, I don't think they have to be taught to adjust between different formats of the game. Make them spend more time at the nets and spend time at the county cricket if there will be a major tour happening.....

Dhoni is responsible for our decimation in UK
by pradeep agarwal on Aug 19, 2014 01:42 PM

The easy money has influenced the approach of our cricketers & they no longer want to be part of county cricket which was part of learning for most who succeeded in English conditions.Gavaskar,Tendulkar,Saurav,Dravid all played to hone the skills. It is only now that a technically flawed player who wants to use his bat as club & also in role of captain dissuades others from doing so.He & IPL are worst that could happen to test cricket in India.

IPL must be scrapped with immediate effect and 75% of BCCI revenues must go to PM's relief fund
