Cricket is different...
by ShadowWind on Aug 19, 2014 11:55 PM  | Hide replies

Cricket has emulated other sports like Futbol and now running sucessfull leagues. It is now spreading to other sports in india which is a Welcome sign. The main drawback in cricket is , it is played in different formats and needs different mental conditioning. When you Pick professional players you expect them to perform. But if they are not able to adapt mentally then it should be taught. A coach is the one who needs to help players switch. The current team is a talented bunch but needs lots of guidance. BCCI should do something before Australia humiliates by resting some of its key players for India series.

It is not the IPL itself that is to be blamed.

Test match transformed to T-20 format???
by Guru Raj on Aug 19, 2014 07:55 PM

IPL has destroyed Indian cricketers cricketing talent. Current Indian players are playing test cricket as twenty-twenty!!!!!and losing. Twenty-twenty is completed in maximum 4 hours likewise Indian test team is playing 5 day match within 3 days!!!! what a transformation!!! saving time and money of patient cricket fans..wow..
Greedy BCCI has to allow Indian young talent to play English county matches. Then only they might gain exposure and mastery in playing bouncy pitch conditions. But is it all possible? time only can say..

The IPL is the biggest reason for this spineless performance. Inspite of this performance if tmrrw the IPL is staged , Indian people like fools will still spend money & bet money on it ( to serve their own narrow interests ). So it is not a surprise , players play like tigers in IPL, but cant bat for even an hour in test matches.
GREED , by everyone , the Board is also one of the biggest culprit, & the players are the biggest reasons for the dismal performance.
SHAME ON THEM.

What about players from other countries???
by Rohit ezhuthachan on Aug 19, 2014 03:07 PM  | Hide replies

No. IPL is only a lame excuse. In that case, players from other countries should also have made less contribution to their team. But they have played well and shown their love to their country and team. But our players lacked any kind of self esteem and failed miserably. shame on them...

IPL is the main reason, patriotic Indian's who have got feelings would always blame IPL. Winning IPL league is of no importance to common Indian people but winning important series like this have huge impact on Indians. I know nothing would happen to IPL as it is cash rich. Irony is that Indians now don't care whether team lose or win. It seems national feelings are going away now.
