This is cosmetic change only.... Remove Dhoni, all problems will get resolve as real talented Ranji players will come to squad instead of IPL/CSK who give importance to TEST matches.

Huge money paid to the in IPL has spoiled most of them. Even good players are not using commensence for deffensive shots. Only medals should be given to them like Olympics.

Didn't see any sense
by Manjunath on Aug 19, 2014 03:29 PM  | Hide replies

I didn't see any sense that by appointing Ravi Shastri the board is expecting that team's performance will get better. As long as Indian board involve selfish people like ravi shastri, Sunil gavaskar, Manjrekar, etc. I don't see there will be any improvement in India's performance as far as test results are concerned. The problem with these people is they really doesn't care much for india's cricket and above that they just speak but not ready to work. They have lost all the credibility but shameless as these people are still want to hang on to administration.

Mr shastri is a very good person, in his playing time he took lot of wickets and scored many runs also, he is sure to make kholi , sharma and pujara very confident, dhoni is a very good player he does not need shastriji. I am happy that srinivasan has proved he is a good man for our cricket, jai ho!!

Shastri,Gavaskar or anyone else for that matter cannot do magic overnight. These boys have been over-exposed to T20/IPL and all of them have totally spoilt their technics..None of them are capable of playing 5 days cricket that too on English bouncy tracks..Moreover all these so called heroes have started spending too much of time in endorsements/glam world/other non cricketing assignments. When BCCI have appointed these players on yearly contract basis against handsome payment they must not be allowed for other commercial assignments....Time has come,BCCI must train seperate set of players for test cricket...

Pull out!
by Ajitkumar Pandit on Aug 19, 2014 03:13 PM  | Hide replies

Pull out cricket from the jaws of politicians. They have turned the game into an industry. IPL is a baby of Sharad Pawar. What is the use of Laluprasad Yadav, Amit Shah becoming the chairman of cricket associans. Ex test players who has played more than 10 test matches should be chairman of a state association. Player played more than 25 tests should be chairman of BCCI. Stop masala matches in the name of IPL.

Sir,
good that Fletcher's wings clipped, Shastri appointed team director but i dont think shastri can do any diffrence ,B,coz the indian team has lost the Taste of playing 5 day test ,because of fast money, and is this matters Ravi Shastri is not to far,
Thats why i Said " AASMAN SEE GIRA KHAJUR MEI AATKA"

ALL THE BEST MR RAVI.....
