Virat Kohli
by Sanjaykumar Wawale on Aug 18, 2014 05:49 PM

Was he ( Virat Kohi ) looking at Cricket ball or some other ball ? Virat Kohi destroyed the Team's moral by more being with his girl friend than with the Team members. He should be sacked from one day sqad

Why so much Hue and Cry about an Away Series loss?
by RANABIR DEY on Aug 18, 2014 05:29 PM  | Hide replies

Frendz
I am surprised to see too much hue and cry about this series loss in England. But we should be practical with our expectations. I mean this had that always been the case with us, which dates back way back to I dont know may be eternity.
Only when India had their best pack of palyers in Sachin, Rahul, Saurav, Laxman and Sehwag, did we started winning Test matches and few series away from home.
And when the Aura and the era of these cricketers are gone, we are back to score one again.
I mean one should not expect these bunch of kiddos to perform like Sachin and Co. and we must applaud that we atleast won the Lords Test.
Moreover, this had been the trend all over the cricketing fraternity. Most teams fair well in home conditions and look sheepish in away conditions. Most players put up superman like show in home conditions similar to our Indian Players and look extremely ordinary in Away conditions.
This had always been the trend and we must not relate to the era of the great guys who played the game between the 90s and the first decade of the new millennium.
So plz dont create so much hue and cry over such losses. We must think ahead.

Well said. Sourav, Sachin and Rahul were in their prime form during our England Tours of 1996 (we lost just 0-1), 2002 (series drawn 1-1) and 2007 (series won 1-0. Their contribution was substantial. On these tours, our bowlers had also bowled well.

GOOD IDEA
by madanmohan siddhanthi on Aug 18, 2014 05:26 PM

Why not our own umpires ? Since we love our past culture and are not experimental in trying DRS this may be good idea and with clear instructions on umpiring . Come on all this is not possible so let stop tours and then play IPL so we can have huge crods and TV balsts and ads more than match play and have just some yes men as commentators and experts -this is better

No use of saying
by SWAMYJ on Aug 18, 2014 04:51 PM  | Hide replies

Our saying will have no impact to our shameless players and shameless selectors who can not judge different players for test, oneday and 20 20. They think our players are all in one. Degrade players from A to B or B to C after each series, then only these fellows will concentrate in play.

No such academic A to D degradation will work.Throw the players who are not performing Retain them those performing and willing to perform. If theteam itself is a failure suspend them for two years to the disappointment of cricket lovers .Of course they can watch other teams.

Let Dhoni and Co., stop appearing in Ads and concentrate on Cricket. Seems they are making more moolah in Advts than Cricket.

Sporting pitches
by Pallab Banerjee on Aug 18, 2014 04:35 PM  | Hide replies

Though we may be blaming the players, specially the batsmen for this debacle, but the core issue lies somewhere else. We really need to change the condition of pitches in India , because when the ball does not rise above knee level even a club cricketer can score huge number of runs here. We must have sporting pitches at all the venues where International cricket is played in India, so that we are really in a position to judge the calibre of a batsman, it would also give some motivations to bowl fast for the bowlers who struggle to get a lift from this dead pitches.
The other factor is we need to encourage fast bowling by picking up raw and young fast bowlers from all parts of the Country. It is unfortunate that in this country only batsmen get good recognition, whereas time and again it is always these batsmen who have failed us when we tour beyond sub-continents.

We have started playing even spin very poorly of late. Every international team has a good spinner now a days. So India stands to get exposed against spin as well. But I agree with you that India develop pitches that help pacers, so that our team gets used to raw pace and bounce. Our metros do not have these conditions, so they may look at some hilly locations to develop such pitches.

when underperforming the team must forfeit 50% of the match money. for whose sake or for what reason should they be paid. To get all out in 80 overs. even a street team can do this. Even a gully cricketer can do what Indian cricketers did today. they are shameless

Its only a game guys...Take it that way..and if you think that you can do better, why don't you go and play for the country? Its simple there is a shortage of talent. What can you expect other than poor talent spotting abilities when the BCCI ex-boss himself is a crook. Modi should throw out Srinivasan because everyone else appear to be scared of that rogue!.
