poor performance
by K N on Aug 18, 2014 12:03 PM

complacency every time goes for this Indian team after victory. Lackadaisical approach and throwing wickets has been the prime reason.
Based on their performance average and consistency only BCCI should fix their contracts and pay. IPL and advertisement have not made them accountable. sheer performance on domestic circuit cannot only be attributed for international selection. The selection committee needs to be thrown out. players like Ajinkya rahane and Rohit sharma needs to be shown doors for throwing their wickets in the first innings of 3 rd test. they should grab the opportunity and rise to the occasion. pankaj singh , binny , sami vijay aron are not quality bowlers for intl crcicket, on whom we cannot depend to get wickets, and to that bhuneshwar kumar lack quality penetration. Ishant should mix his short pitched , yorkers, outswing, reverse swing inswinger etc and keep batsmen guessing on oand around offstump. Instead they had been wasting their new ball. I was surprised about ishant fitness. what is our physio and the modern science is doing . too much adulations to kholi pujara rohit have taken positions granted. what happened to Dravid who went as batting coach? what is fletcher doing ? pl bring john wright, kirsten, or fleming as coach. entrust them to identify players even from doestic cricket. encourage MRF foundation to produce quality fast bowlers and nurture them . similar to IPL select and make them to participate on diff turf and then select.

Its all politics in BCCI
by O K on Aug 18, 2014 11:57 AM

unless the politics in BCCI is curbed the situation is never going to change. srinivasan is out but his minions are still in BCCI.

Why one?

Is it because Kohli took the trouble to go to England to play for India?

Indian Test team
by Aniket Lal on Aug 18, 2014 11:44 AM  | Hide replies

According to me ,the Ideal Indian test team for abroad should be :
Openers - Robin Uthappa , Virender Sehwag , Jiwanjot Singh
Middle Order - Cheteshwar Pujara , Ambati Rayudu , Lokesh Rahul ,Ajinkya Rahane,Manoj Tiwary,Stuart Binny ,Virat Kohli
Pacers - Zaheer Khan , Umesh Yadav ,Varun Aaron , Praveen Kumar ,Ishant Sharma
Spinners -Harbhajan Singh & Amit Mishra.

If Ganguly could be made captain in 2000 when there were no choices then , the same could be done to replace Dhoni as well . Uthappa , Manoj Tiwary , Ambati Rayudu & Pujara could be considered as captains . Rayudu & Uthappa have been captains of India Under19 as well as India-A team .If BCCI thinks there is no replacement of Dhoni , it clearly clearly shows lack of Vision . Australia has also appointed George Bailey as captain last year even when he was not contracted with Cricket Australia . He has been doing a good job as a captain .Sri Lanka has also appointed Angelo Matthews as captain inspite of players like Mahela Jayawardene & Sangakarra.Hw won tests against England & South Africa . Sri Lanka is playing 35 year old spinner in Rangana Herath . Why can't BCCI pick experienced bowlers like Zaheer & Harbhajan who have a combined total ofnearly 700 wickets , which can make a huge difference to the team . Bhajji has one of the best economy rates in slam bang show like IPL along with wickets both in IPL as well as for Punjab Ranji team .It clearly seems that Indian team is selected by Sriniv

Why Varun Aaron, Umesh Yadav, Pujara, Kohli, Rahane, Binny. All those who performed badly are in your team!!!!
most of them are the reasons for these shambles which Dhoni is shouldering.
You know... Statistics below
Top 3 dont find place in your team.
Pujara, Dhawan, Sharma and Kohli are there. There averages are below some bowlers. SHAME...
Let us forget hating Dhoni and look forward to replacing these people and build a team for our country

Victory or defeat is either side of coin, no problem with either. But greatest worry is how do you loss without fight.

True. He is not at all interested in cricket. All his thoughts are Anushka and not on the game. He just want to remain in the team only for the sake of commercial adds and to get money rom the game even with out cotribution. Selection committe pl pl pl drop him. Let him enjoy honeymoon with that lady. He is natioonal shame
