People in India forget all bad things the moment India wins a game and it is precisely that the BCCI bosses bank on. people think what could be wrong and who cares if something is wrong when India is winning. they don't. when the system is corrupt from top and we have corrupted people deeply entrenched into the system any person challenging will show up like a sore thumb. and who will want to do it when he can be a part of the system and enjoy the good things. BCCI in India is like a company which has "0" losses , everyone can invest into it and make profits. people in India go hungry but still watch cricket.the only way to clean BCCI is to bring It into RTI and make it more transperent
I have totally STOPPED watching cricket! So, as to why the legends of yesteryears are keeping quiet on the nonsense happening of late, DOES NOT matter any more. Name it, be it Gavaskar or Shastri or Vishwanath or even Kapil Dev .... it looks they all have been compromised by that arrogant brute Srinivasan with 'blood' money. Cricket happened to me, once upon a time. No more .... thank goodness. Thank you Srini ...
I am not a cricket nut, but have been following the developments since the various controversies broke out. I think the critics of the BCCI should take a chill pill, and instead focus on the positives. THe BCCI is responsible for making the game a religion in our country, and market the game in such a manner that the other sports bodies, headed by politicians who have little interest in the sport, must learn from them. Administrators have ruined hockey, and football, despite being widely followed, is ranked in the 150s! Same goes for several other sports, barring perhaps badminton.

Nisha, please note that cricket became so popular (religious) in our nation not because of BCCI alone, but it is also due to commitment from players who performed. As per your view, i too agree that India are more powerful atlest in one field (cricket), but that doesnot mean individuals can command or dictate terms and run the show as per their wish which is the current scenario. I dont knw whether u r aware that India is not even following the agreed "Future Test Programme (FTP)" of ICC. Now the SA tour is a question mark.. which is actually a clear deviation of the FTP. This shows the amount of ditctatorship shown by few individuals of BCCI. I hope you understand my view and this is really a cause of concern. I will be happy if you can comment this.. Thanks. here these people by calling legends to fight it with bcci to help the rebel not to clean up the bcci. These guy never talked bad about L-MODI and dalmiya when they run cricket is in bad shape. They want to fight each other and with that they enjoy power and money. what a shame people they are. Powar and north india want to destroy SRINI so that they can get to power.

alas but you could not be more wrong.. @nisha - Even if BCCI has made cricket what it is, it does not give BCCI the right to do this. Also BCCI is also responsible for our lack of interest in other games..how will you justify all the wrong that is being done by Sriniasan by little good BCCI may or may not have done..

You are right Nisha. I am of the generation; for whom Hockey was the religion and I saw how the Indian Olympic Association(IOA) and Indian Hockey Federation(IHF) ruined Indian hockey due to their infighting as to who is supreme in selection of Hockey team for Olympics; with each side having its own favorite players list. Whatever be the fault of the BCCI ; atleast the players and the game is not suffering !
