Looking at the team selection reminds me of Mohinder Amarnath's quote about the selectors being a 'bunch of jokers'.....Are our selectors so dumb/corrupt, that for a tour of South Africa, they will prefer to open with "Sir" CSK Murali Vijay rather than Gambhir.....It is indeed a sad time for Indian cricket. No doubt the new brigade is doing well...but look how all challengers to CSK players in the Indian team have been cut to size...Harbhajan, Pathan, Yuvraj, Gambhir etc Till such time that fat fixer Srinivasan continues to head BCCI, such favouritism will mar Indian cricket.

Murli's Avg. in last 5 test innings is 32.6 and Avg. in test at SA is 14. Where Gambhir's Avg. in last 5 test innings is 41.2 and Avg. in test at SA is 60.5. He must be included in test squad.

Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Rayudu MS Dhoni, Jadeja/Ojha Ashwin, Bhuvaneswar Kumar, Mohammed Shami, Zaheer Khan,
Ishant Sharma's selection in both the format clearly indicates FAVOURITISM. He should be shown the exit door for the rest of his playing days. He is LIABILITY to the team.

Zaheer in prone to injury. How many time we have seen him bowling 3/4 overs and then out for the match, how can the selectors bet on his fitness on such an important tour?
The BCCI has taken a good decision to call back Mr. Zaheer Khan to play the test matches against SA. Similarly, Mr. Rayudu has also given a chance to play in SA test matches. Certainly they will show their talent in the matches. They should be encouraged by the senior cricketers.
