It is really an insult for the bharat ratna award,what to do otherwise this selfish crickter and his political,financial,& BCCI supporters wishes will be in wain.so we need to waste teh award this time.He did nothing for teh society,only the Marathi,Gujjus and the corproate supported media made the hype,now the team will be happy.

What has Rajiv Gandhi, V V Giri, Morarji Desai other politicians done to deserve that award? In fact by giving it to Sachin for the 1st time the value of the award has gone up.
It is appropriate that Sachin got Bharat Ratna on his retirement Day. Every Bharat Ratna was given for people for improving the people, envorionment and country overall. Sachin, by retiring, has improved the productivity. Now since he is not playing, Productivity will be increased by 5% in US and 50% in India.
A teacher or doctor will have the satisfaction of touching many peoples life positively. Dont know how Sachin has improved basic necessities of people around him.

bharat ratna given to sachin for political gains. how come suddenly out of nowhere, sachin is declared bharat ratna.
as regards bharat ratna to dhyan chand, they say its under process. so how come process over sachin not followed.
The Saga of his Retirement has been politicised by political class of BCCI, CAB and MCA in cahoots with other political parties in the run up to the Assembly elections,2013 and National election, 2014 with an eye of vote bank politics.
In the midst of this mania sorrounding just one individual,One feels sorry that our National hero and legend of our National Game- Hockey, Late Mr. Dyanchand(like Mr. Sardar Patel) is altogher forgotten and has to still wait in heaven to get the honour conferred on him posthumously.
sachin never deserved bharat ratna.he never played for India.he played only for money.he has bribed everyone for his grand but undeserved farewell and bharat ratna from the crores of rupees earned through advertisements. he played only to make records and that is why did not retire early.BCCI people assured him a grand farewell and bharat ratna by bribing govt.people so that he can retire.the SA tour was curtailed for sachin as he knew that he can't score against fast bowlers of south Africa.out of form w indies were bought for getting defeated only for sachin

So, Sachin gave away all the selfish money he got from sponsors till date as bribe to get a farewell in return??? Get a life dude.
No doubt sachin has done good job. But first Indian Player for Bharat Ratna should have been Major Dhyan Chand Hockey wizard, who brought glory to country against all odds, and even today there is no one who can match the great hockey wizard

U r right Lalit but India has become hub of corruption, nepotism, favouritism, more over the congress is blatantly doing this...anyone who serves its interests wud only be rewarded..eyeing the elections and that Sachin is lok sabha member of congress and can be used for catching votes they have hastily awarded him with Bharat ratna..although I will that the likes of Sunny gavaskar, Kapil dev, Rahul Dravid, Dhyan Chand etc wud also have been given the same honour.

U r right sir. There are a few like Dhyan Chand and Vishy Anand who also deserve a Bharat Ratna, but does that bellitle the contribution of Sachin. Should we not appreciate and enjoy the fact that now even sportspersons are getting this highest civilian award?
I salute the media power, the publicity power. I salute deserving awardee of Bharat Ratna -Sachin also but one thing baffles me, although Sachin's stature is of untouchable heights still did the likes of Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, Sourav Ganguli, Anil Kumble and Rahul Dravid not deserve the kind of farewell that Sachin was accorded albeit with lesser hype and media glare..wuld the congress led govt. at the centre still awarded Sachin with Bharat Ratna if he was a Rajya Sabha member of BJP instead of Congress.
Congrats Sachin. ONE LITTLE REQUEST, PLEASE CONTINUE YOUR ATTITUDE EVEN AFTER YOU GET BHARAT RATNA. PLEASE DON'T COME IN POLITICS BY ANY WAY. BEWARE OF CONGRESS PARTY, THEY MAY FORCE YOU & SAY THAT DUE TO THEM YOU GOT THIS AWARD. BUT IT IS NOT AT ALL CORRECT, YOU GOT THIS BECAUSE OF SO MANY PRESSURE OF WISHES OF "BHARATVASI" YOU GOT THIS. SO RESPECT THEM.
