Dhoni Should Step Down
by DEBABRATA DEY on Mar 27, 2013 03:40 PM

This is the right time. Dhoni should step down as Captain with high head and flying colours. Otherwise, humiliation and ouster is a must after SA, NZ and England tour starting October this year. A massive 11-0 defeat is on the card in the forthcoming 11 test matches in foreign soil as a visitor.

It will be unwise to conclude that Dhoni built young brigade. What happened with other young brigade grooming stars like Rohit Sharma, Badrinath, Umesh Jadav, Vinay Kumar, R P Singh, Sreesanth who nurtured under Dhoni’s umbrella?

We all know Dhoni and his Team India suffered consecutive 4-0 4-0 drubbing in England followed by Australia as a visitor. Then, as a host, he also suffered 2-1 drubbing in turning home soil track by England. Thereafter, fortunately, he and his young Team India has recently enjoyed thumping 4-0 victory against Australia (a team appears to be weaker than Bangladesh) in turning home soil track as a host. Now, Dhoni admirers are cursing Mohinder Amarnath who vehemently recommended Dhoni ouster as captain. Impulsive Srinivasan is claiming that he is the man who reversed the ouster of Dhoni recommended by the then Selection Committee headed by Srikant

we indians are third class citizens

BCCI has done dealing with australian cricket board for 1000crores for losing the series with 4-0. Now our country ba**ds will watch with more enthusiastic all IPL matches which is gambling and mode of circulating and converting blackmoney to white. Shame on our country citizens. We have become such a foolish people and anyone can deviate or use as per their wish. We are just pans of these corrupt system.

There are plenty of problems which are burning our country like population, unemployment, inflation etc. Moreover a very big drought will come this summer. There will be absolutely no water even for drinking in majority parts of country. Power shortage, I think the whole country will be under dark for minimum 10hrs in this summer. People don't want their day to day issues to be sorted and simply diverting their attention towards this gambling game.SHAME ON OUR'S. WE ARE NOT THINKING ABOUT THE FUTURE OF OUR NEXT GENERATION AND WILL DIE ONE DAY SIMPLY WASTING OUR TIME.

After Mr.Ganguly Dhoni is the best captain of India, but winning all the 4 test matches is too great, but if you lose all the 4 matches its a heart break. For Australia now its like that.

any wicketkeeper is not judged by no. of catches he take but no. of cathes he drops.
Catch depends on type of surface & bowler.
Fact is he has dropped more no. of chances than any other wicketkeeper & not athletic at all.
Patel, kartik, saha, gilcrist, deviller, sanga, mclumn, prior are far better wicketkeeeper & batsman than medicore dhoni

Dhoni as a batsman
Test Avg over all 39.0, Test avg overseas 28.0, No overseas century or match winning inning in test carrer even after playing 77 test.
T-20 Strike rate- 113, No fifty or match winning inning in entire career even after playing 42 matches
ODI- Good avg manipulated due to no. of not out innings & manipulative batting position. Even in ODI most runs scored on flat indian wicket against team like Pak/SLK & no overseas century.
Dhoni overseas ODI avg is just 39 with no match winning inning. If you remove his no. of not out innings(52 times), his avg drops less than 35 even in ODI.
As a wicketkeeper- Dropped catches in almost every match.

Dhoni test average outside
In WI 2006, 24
In SA 2006, 26
In AUS 2007, 17.62
In SA 2011, 35.8 ( one inning of 90 when styen/morkel was kept out of attack for 2-3 hrs)
In WI 2011- 19.5
( score of 0,16,2, 5 & 74(only one good inning when WI was operating with bowlers like bishoo/chandrapaul & front line bowler rampaul/shammi etc was resting due to injury).
In Eng 2011- 30.0
In Aus 2012- 20.0
As a captain good record only on indian pitches. Overseas he has lost more test matches(09) than what he won(05)
Win includes SLK, Bng, WI & NZL.
All other wicketkeeper batsman like Mat prior, Mclumn, Deviller, sangarkara are worldclass & have many match winning overseas inning while mediocre dhoni has none. He is simply made by add agency, media & political fans by hyping his small succ

by avishek on Mar 26, 2013 09:11 AM

You don't need genius captain to win at home on doctored wickets anybody can do it with all the support from BCCI curators etc. His real test will come in South Africa. Lets hope for the best..
