I guess nothing else to write hence the writer is taking up this topic....Poor Journalism....
His performance does not warrant a place in the team.He will never make a comeback as he was always lax regrading training and physical fitness. He had immense talent and he was the most entertaining cricketer India has ever produced
Viru is one unorthodox Cricketer....agreed..but was always a treat to watch - when in flow.... Just like Ganguly, Sachin, Dravid and even Laxman....BCCI could always give him one more chance ..to excel....by allowing him to play a few tests in the middle order......!!!..
With his ego as big as China with dropping skill level at this age, I doubted he will ever come back.
He always had a big ego and refused to learn anything new or even improve his short coming. But he was still scoring runs, bowling and fiedling well. Now he can't bowl, unfit, below average fielder and not scoring runs with slow reflexes..
it will be the classic case for future players no one will play after 32 yrs, they are playing just too much cricket. and business exploiting the cricket in india and taking toll on players is hurting national team as well.
becos you never gave chance to good test players one day or the other the mighty dravid, ganguly, laxman had to leave .. so now you are facing drought .. it is your made drought bcci and selectors do any time ponder on this?
