the aussies come to india to take money & then slander indian greats except warne & gilchrist. bcci & ipl has no shame/guts to condemn those ba---rds. sachin & Lara are both greats in their own way & cricket knowing fellows knew about them. Ponting like all uglyy aussies want cheap publicity & so he is opening his filthy mouth against Indian players.
Ponting should have gone through the record before giving such statement.. West indies lost lots of test match when lara was playing.. where india won more matches and sachin scored more run than lara in this period against australia..Ask Warne who gave him sleepless night and nightmare dreams...Ponting was playing with grt players around him...once they retired ponting and company was struggling and are Struggling..

lara is most superior than sachin. better he should take retirement at the earliest.
He is right when he said about Lara winning the matches for his team but his team now is not better than a club side. England will white wash this series 3-0
I agree that Lara is better batsman than Tendulkar in the sense that he could create large scores such as the 9 double centuries and triple centuries which Tendulkar could not achieve.
However Tendulkar was more of a team man and self-less player than Lara, and played in accordance with the team targets which resulted in his centuries never reaching the triple level.
Also it should be noted that India lacked a good bowling lineup as compared to West Indies in those times, and this put more pressure on Sachin in the process.
I agree that Lara is probably a better batsman than Sachin and is the greatest batsman in the present era, but as a team player, Sachin would be picked above Lara in any team in the world.
Sachin played a greater role as batsman, bowler, captain, advisor and mentor for the entire team all these years, building the cricketing culture which has created the champion team that India is now at the moment.

yes u r c dont correct. Always records speak in favour of Ponting and Lara than Sachin which we normally dont accept facts...
Ricky Ponting is correct by saying Brian Lara brings fears then Tendulkar. Sachin is playing for records irrespective of his team winning or loosing whereas lara singlhandedly won many matches. I can say Dhoni is anytime better then tendulkar in winning matches. Tendulkar is only good for records and nothing else.
