He should not be in ODI and Test. He is hitter so good in T20. In ODI if he comes after 30-35 overs he is good. But if he comes before that he plays slow and save wicket and then start hitting so ultimately we do not have respectable score. So we lose the match unless bowlers do magic or batsmen of opposite team play bad.
All due respect to Dravid but Dhoni is suitable for ODIs only.. Doesn't have skill or Temperament required for Test cricket. And he is not a big hitter to fit in T20..

Guys..we have to view Dravid's comments in the right perspective simply because he's not the types who talks only to seek attention. Just because he maintains a quiet and dignified silence does not mean he should not speak his mind. And it is not totally untrue. Anyone who has been following Indian cricket would agree that Dhoni looks jaded and seems short of ideas at crucial times. Dravid has not questioned Dhoni's captaincy, he just feels he needs rest and needs to rejuvenate himself which is absolutely true. Dhoni has already proved himself and should choose matches/series that are challenging rather playing 2-off or 3-off matches which do nothing but fill BCCI coffers. Its high time Dhoni looks seriously at this suggestion and provide opportunity for budding captains to handle less significant matches/tournaments.
looks like Dravid has picked up from other fellow cricketers.. comment something which might be logical but different (not exactly contrary) to the general consensus. Like what Gavaskars, Bedis etc do to keep them selves being reported.
It proven based on the results, analysts, pundits around the world that Dhoni is more suitable as a captain and also a player in the shorter form of the game T20 and ODIs..
And hasn't done well as a cptain and a player in the tests...
But then had dravid stated the obvious...next time he will have few to interview/report him
A team gets stale with a stale captain - not just in sports, in everything. Dravid has put the situation of Indin cricket in the correct perspective in an admirable restrained way. In a large country like India with so many talents there could several equally good cricket teams with good capatains. But, BCCI role in administration of the game has also gone stale, where it has scope to do so much other than playing politics with the national team.
