I am glad selectors finally made a call on dropping this slug. The man who gave more important to IPL then his natioinal duty and forgot the national pride.

He should have been dropped when he came fit for IPL and announced himself unfit before and after IPL.

It is time for India and poor countries to Ban Boring and Poverty-producing Test Cricket,3,5 Day cricket, etc forever now, folks!Has any one Bothered to calculate how many trillions of man-hours have been lost in our banana republic for the past 50 years and how many trillions of dollars have been lost by watching useless and Boring and poverty-producing TEST CROCKET for daystogether??? The loss in national wealthlost due to Test Cricket watching must be 100 trillion dollars or more and what a shame that we continue this Useless TEST CRICKET even now!Just see the excitement and massive crowd support for the IPL and One day Cricket Matches and compare the sleeping and usless morroniccrowd who were sleeping on the cricket ground during the 10 days of past 2Tests against Kiwis alone! Are Not patriotic indians Hurt by seeing the wastage of millions of works hours during useless Boring Test Matches! This wastage ofbillions of man hours has been happening for past 50 years due to Test CricketToo! CAN anna hazare &team members fight to Ban Useless Test Cricket! Canhe do that at least NOW as a patriotic duty for the nation???Who cares forBoring&Poverty-producing& useless TEST CRICKET& Long duration ranji&duleep trophy cricket, etc???

Raina is just not a test material at all! He proved it well befor
by K Ram on Feb 10, 2013 09:47 PM

With three consecutive years without a century and no significant performances, Gauty was only a liability to the team. He must thank his stars for having played this longer and I do not think if he can ever stage a come back again. Any team to do well, needs a good start and Viru and Gauty have hardly ever given it of late. Viru too can not now take his place for granted and by choosing four openers, the message has quite clearly been given to him to either perform or suffer the fate of gauty and perish. Many are asking why Vijay? Players like Vijay, Dinesh Karthink, etc., can any time be thrown in to play international cricket all of a sudden from nowhere and they'd still do reasonably well not withstanding their domestic performances. Linking Vijay's selection to Srinivasan, Dhoni and CSK is utter stupidity and such talks only would put the selectors under immense pressure. In a nation with a 120 crore population with so many divisions based on language, region, religion, none can satisfy all. Vijay had a poor average only last season and his first class career average is comparable with Dhawan or Ghambir. The openers (especially, Viru) shall be well advised to respect the opposition and bat sensibly and not play extravagant shorts from the word, "go"! Let them first dig in, assess the pitch and the bowling before growing audacious. Let's forget our biases and wish the team good luck to do well! Let's not forget, Ausies are just unbeatable and a far better side

One day cricket or t20 or t30 cricket ONLY must be allowed&THEY MUST BE ALLOWED TO BE PLAYED ONLY ON WEEK-ENDS OR HOLIDAYS so that we do not lose millions of working hours of men& women& youth any more&wedo not remain poor forever due to useless and time-wasting and BoringTEST Cricket too.
