I think there is no harm in warming benches, when you jon any team ( in this case Indian cricket team) as a junior you do not get the chance to play in the first match, it depends on the nature of wicket and team composition, if the pitch is slow and require 2 specialist spinner then he could have player. Umar Abdulla wants to win votes and doesnot understand cricket.
BUT the worst BCCI can do is to DROP rasool in the next series.........
As a sportsman, not playing with zimbabawe is no loss, he has been with the team and learned a lot, in future he has good opportunity to play with better teams like England, SA, Pakistan, SL, NZ and become no. 1 player in the world. as a normal person i strongly object POLITICAL involvement in the SPORTS
earlier it has happened several times that a player picked for series do not gets chance to play in the entire series even in practice matches of the series, then why this type of comments are made ow , what are the reasons behind this
Only Parvez Rasool was side tracked, from the playing elevan in the recently concluded 5 ODI matches against Zimbabwe. This is very unfortunate and reflect the very mentality of team mgt., against the lone Kashmeri. Very Sad.
I think it is lack of sensitivity and lack of sportsmanship on the part of Kohli. He is playing for records. What would have dropping one another player in the last match done to the series, even if we lost it?? Those who are at the helm of the board must realize how they rub salt on some wounds.
It was an incident of irresponsible and selfish decision on the part of Captain to keep Parvez Rasool off from playing when situation demanded to give him al opportunity to play and have introduced to international exposer. May be immaturity of the captain is the reason.
let the CM abulla be a patriotic Indian citizen be unbiased in ruling the state and make a terror free one where islamic fundamentalists hold sway.who is playing and not is not his subject.
