Virat should understand that majority of junta
by Such jano on Apr 29, 2013 08:02 PM

is gawaaarType and EkNumberKeChootiyaaa, he should stay away from engaging with them. He need to focus on his game if he want to end up as one of great of game.

Also Mumbai is owned by reliance, if he upsets Ambani, he has the power to shut his career, he should use wise actions.

Why is the world behaving like this against Kohli?
by Anil Varghese on Apr 29, 2013 12:53 PM  | Hide replies

Kohli must also think why other teams like KKR also booed him out, and he had a tiff with Gambhir... what wrong with the world? he needs to resign and sit at home and think about it... He may be talented by his attitude will be a big hindrance for him to be the next captain...

Else new blood like Jadeja will lead the team well.

Mumbai crowd
by Prasad Trimbakkar on Apr 29, 2013 12:46 PM

Mumbai crowd had always been knowledgeable & had appreciated players from opponent team. However the cost of IPL & nature of this game had kept away such genuine people from stadium. Instead it is now watched by HIG brash people who are less tolerant & poor in sportsmanship. With such unfortunate runout, nowadays instead of accepting it as part of game, people just vent their anger on visiting team. Forget about attitude of Virat, spectators should respect game & its rules. Mumbaikars should refrain from such unsportsman behaviour.

I do agree with u. Mr.
Virat is forgetting that cricket is a gentleman game. His behaviour and attitude so
far he has shown is not going to help him in near future. His act against a senior player like Gambhir was criticised at all level. According to my observation he cannot prove himself a better captain.

hey parmatma stop ur philosophical gentlemanly explanation ... it seems u have not followed cricket for a pretty long time ...have u seen WI AUS test matches in 1999 series or before that in AUS... have u seen AUS ENG test series ..and have u listened to cricket commentary ever ..dont u remember an englishman called naseer hussain said that in a WC semi final between pakistan and india ; is just not a game ; its serious business out there and also we should remember that for us AAM AADMI cricket is just a game but its not the case for cricketers who are professionals in that field like we are in our field..dont we get passionate abt our work sometimes and have heated confrontations with collegaues etc..??? and we should not also forget that its the same virat kohli who patted alistair cook on his back when he got 150 at eden gardens..and then dramatically got him run out on 199..so he is that kind of guy who is always positive and looking for rare opportunities..his two run outw were terrific against MI..he has that AUSSIE atitude about him .. i dare say that he is somebody very rare other than the champion AUSSIE cricketers under STEVE WAUGH and ricky ponting who throws the ball really hard and aggressive at their keeper's gloves and he has in his career made some outstanding fielding and run outs. And do we forget that Ricky ponting , one of the greatest batsmen of all times was he a true gentleman.but he would be remembered as somebody who won AUS two WCs not for sledging

Aamchi Mumbai rocks! Haters gonna hate
by joydeep tripathi on Apr 29, 2013 10:26 AM  | Hide replies

Most of other citymen are jealous of Mumbai. especially Delhi.
I dunno why, other cities are good in many aspects too.
anyway, haters gonna hate. Virat Kohli, no exception.
this crowd this kid is making marks on belongs to the most spirited city. He should learn to take defeat lightly. IPL is not the end of the world Mr Kohli, why do you abuse your own teammates when they misfield?

I am a Mumbaikar and I am ashamed of the crowd behaviour. Calling someone a cheater for a perfectly legitimate dismissal is horrendous. People who understand cricket will feel he was well within his rights in not calling AR back. This is the IPL and the stakes are high. I back Virat Kohli. The crowds nowadays are getting outta hand. At the same time, VR is no less a brat. His on-field brushes and controversies have taken a toll on him.

Mumbai crowd is pretty disgusting in their behaviour.
by Logic Magic on Apr 29, 2013 07:55 AM  | Hide replies

I am a Mumbaikar and its really sad to admit that the crowd at Wankhade is really abusive. They even use the choicest local bad words like " X player ki Maa Ki Tooth" very often. The decision of giving Ambatti Rayudu was the unpires and in the replays it was clear that Vinay Kumar was going back towards the stumps to be in position to collect the ball and his back was to the batsman. So technically, the decision was 100% CORRECT. But the point is, in every IPL match played in Mumbai, the crowd resorts to bad language. What are we trying to prove? Why run players of other teams down? Lets introspect and vow to be at good behaviour henceforth.Else, very soon, we will be labelled sports hooligans by everyone.
