Re: What a joke?

Pls be aware, people like us cannot become a cricket player of international standards like Dhoni or any others in National team, Zonal or IPL teams. As along as we cannot do the job which they are doing or come any way near to it, it is not good to criticize them. It is very tough to play in front of such a massive and demanding Indian crowd, especially for an Indian cricketer, the expectations are so high. Hence my policy is just to watch the game whenever I find time. IPL is only time pass, but when it comes to main cricket matches we always wish Indian should win. If we loose we can find fault with the players who performed badly, even if it is Dhoni no probs, but in the coming matches they play well we can appreciate as well.
Look we can hate Dhoni all we want because of fanboyism to our favourite IPL teams but Dhoni is a class and a greatest captain the world has witnessed, too cool as a player.a good chaser.
After winning worldcup he seemed like bored achieving everything at such age,but after losing test matches abroad and media scrutiny now DHONI is back with same zeal he had before.
He is on par with Clive Loyd and Steve Waugh.
Dhoni the great. Haters can eat you know what..hehe

Honestly indian team is looking good because the standard of world cricket has declined very badly. I am wondering how he would have played bowlers like glenn mcgrath, brett lee at 160 kmh speed, Wasim akram, waqar younis, shane warne, ambrose and walsh. You need consider everything before judging him.

To be placed on the same line as with Greats like Loyd and Steve, you need to win at least one match outside of India.
We all know where he stands on that count. You also seem to be a fan boy that shld learn to argue your point.

Good to say these words. But remember, of those who failed to contribute in those matches abroad. As captain, he does his plan and when others fail miserably, we still blame captain for losing abroad.
BTW: IPL is no different. It is not cool... both temperature wise and the competition wise. But Dhoni comes from nowhere and perform. Instad of appreciating, we find holes. That is our problem.

Dont give the reason of a loser. You just cant say that because others didnt play you cant blame me if i dont play. When you dont have the right technique you cant survive anywhere on the bouncy tracks.

Like what you said, I started disliking Dhoni when he lost test matches abroad. He was batting like a kid in some of the matches, staying long time at the wicket and not scoring any rungs. What I feel that he cannot defend like Dravid, Lakshman or Tendulakar and in any kind of situation he can play only aggressive cricket. He is a kind of player like Kapil Dev. Some of the matches we lost abroad, we could have won if he in his own style. I think he learnt from his mistakes and plays a natural game now. The recently finished test match against Aus is a clear proof of this.
its not a sudden decision to talk about this great sportsperson. the jury/ tabloid would have observed him since the 2007 WC. yes, hes really amazing given hes been doing such acts of taking his team home from nowhere consistently. i have seen michael bevan doing it for his team but dhoni has the additional responsibility of captaining his team and wicketkeeping and that adds weight to his CV. well done dhoni.
what kind of idiotic article is that....u hit Stayen in a docile wicket in Chennai and u claim to be a great guy...he has lost 3 series badly....he has pooor track record outside Asia.....let him Hit Styen like this during the series in SA later this year and win the series and then we can think of calling him on par with Sunny or Sachin.......

absolutely. cricket is a team game and no individual can be solely responsible for debacles and victories.

The last few words give you away as a sore loser. Accept Sachin is over the hill and the only way for him is downhill. He is solely responsible for bringing this apathy on himself instead of retiring with his tail up. Accept this and also accept the fact that you cannot get results only on past laurels and this is where Dhoni is way way above par from Sachin.

Yes, master plaster always withers under pressure. And that was Sachin.. be it captaining India or captaining Mumbai. Bajji did a better job as capitain of Mumbai in IPL than Sachin. And Sachin failed with his willow too. Just walk through of how matches we won because of Sachin...

I think people should not go overboard describing about dhoni. No doubt he is the best finisher of the current generation in india. But anything more than that will be a bit too much to speak of
