India as a nation is giving priorities to ballebaj , gulli dande baj and such insignificant people rather than giving importance to national issues and the heros of the nation . Rediff I strongly request you and your paid writers have a look on the similar media in other nations including Africa . Their journalists are far better in wordsmithy and writing on issues of national importance than these guys /ladies who forgot their journalism . Dhoni is a low grade performer who knows the art of blaming others for their poor performance .and Cricket is not a sports in India it is mafia business .So please ignore these guys .Sickening article . chances are this will be deleted by moderator .I really don't know .Balakrishnan is from my own home town.

He is a flop wicketkeeper also in last 3 series where dropped many catches. He has no overseas century outside subcontinent in any format of game after playing 8 yrs of cricket while even batsman like kumble/agarkar has overseas century batting at no.9. People like you who value statistics more than contribution are the reason, people like sachin keep on playing forever. You are looking at the avg of a no. 6 batsman in T20, esp indian team which has such strong top-5 batsmen like yuvraj, gambhir, sehwag, raina etc. In intl T20 dhoni rarely gets chances to make an impact. regarding those other avgs, anybody who is batting with the indian tail cannot have a great avg. Dhoni has siglehandedly won india test matches at home. Away even the so called great batsmen were making single digits, why don't you look at their avgs in the last few years.

as a captain he always manipulates his batting position to improve his average. If he is real good- he will bat in top order like how deviller & other wkt batsman does. He knows his ability & thats why bat lower order. In IPL he only bats well on flat pitches targeting one weak bolwers which each team posses. You don;t have same flexibility in intnl cricket- thats why his technique gets exposed

you fool..winning is not about scoring centuries and high averages...it is scoring those vital runs,vitla catches,vital mathces,vital decisions...it is none other than dhoni..not even tendulkar...only nearest person to dhoni is ganguly..

Like winning last 3 consecutive T-20 wcups where India out shamelesly in 1st round loosing 9 out of 10 super 8 matches. dhoni was a big failure with bat as well as captaincy. Any guy with sahme could have left captaincy of t-20. But this politician is continuing on past success of 2007(6 yrs before). It happens only in india

His slow batting in 2009/10/12 wcups caused many loss for India as he can’t stricke ball from start & his strike rate is pathetic 109 in T-20 intl. Never deserve a place in T-20 intnl team based on merit.

And we also know the 2 centuries of lil master for loosing the match(1 draw) and one half century of Dhoni to lift world cup.Above Statistics says a leauge match is as important as final, which is not the case.
he delivers under pressure, even suresh raina does the same. india was lacking these kind of players earlier...ajay jadeja and robin used to play but could hardly win matches...
the greatest quality capt cool has is he has tremendous control over his nerves,he remains absolutely clear about the strategy to be applied during the most stressful and straind moments,I appreciate TOM MOODY'S comments.
