Team India
by Akmal Hussain on Sep 22, 2012 05:13 PM

I think team india needs to sit before the match and talk on the combination they want to play against england, No doubt shewag is a gr8 playr and he will prove that in upcoming match agains eng. Our concern is bowling i dont know why selectors left Umesh whic is doing well in domestic cricket in india, See balaji's and ashok's will not work in T20 u need bowlers like umesh, aaron or ishant who can support zak Secondly i urge Mr Dhoni to drop Rohit and bring Harbhajan not because i dont like rohit or i like harbhajan, Just beacuse on sub continent/batsmen frindly wicket 6 batsmen is enouhg to paly 20 overs and you will have 4 genuine bowlers to defent your total. So Mr Dhoni drop Rohit and bring bhajji. Most imp promote ur self top of the order and play blindly thats my suggestion to u Captain cool.

If a player of 40 years age can hold his position by scoring 10 plus in test innings what is wrong in Sehwag who is much younger and much flamboyant than that player continue to play for Indian team?

I dont mind if he plays like this he is a match winner on his day, nightmare for a bowler. And people who criticize him are just foolish . Indians doesn't want him to play like Kallis and all with low strike rates. If he can scores at least thirty-forty runs with an healthy strike rates its enough for india.

He brings a thrilling start for the inning. He & Gambhir have wonderful understanding. Both should play.

Yes.I agree. He is a match winner.why only targeting Sehwag. What about the form of Rohit, and what abuot the form of Sachin in test cricket. They are selfish players play for centuries and 50s,but sehwag plays for victory, not bothered to get 50s or 100s.

sehwag is tiger.
by manoj joshi on Sep 22, 2012 10:46 AM

one cannot judge the performance or form of every player by same yard stick. Sehwag is a dashing player & he can spoil any bowling attack as & when he fires. It is true that he is not consistent. But, he is an attacking batsman & attack comes with some amount of uncertainty. One more thing about him is that he is always after the bowler even when he is on 1 or 99 unlike some other master plasters in our team who are aiming to get 100 once they cross 50 mark...!! Let Sehwag play his natural game. He is a devastating player & practically tear off any bowling attack & can make bowler forget the bowling ..... !! Carry on Veeru ... !! We are with you always .... !!

Viru's form
by Ramesh Mosur on Sep 22, 2012 10:07 AM

I think India needs Viru to play well at the top. No point in explaining the lack of from. Apparentverybody is agreeing that he is out of form hence he should be out of th team and play Ranji trophy and other matches to regain form. Explanations do not help us win matches.

He is a bad dream 4 bowler, but sometime he throws his wicket in vain. There r very rare batsman like him in the World Cricket. I think he should take meditation.

Dhoni needs to improve captaincy in Tests
by Cric Fan on Sep 22, 2012 09:24 AM  | Hide replies

Jayasuriya says Dhoni doesn't become a bad captain overnight, but then contradicts by saying just losing eight tests doesn't make him bad. This is not overnight but over a period of a year. Also, it coincided with the decline in form of Sachin and Dravid. Well, all said and done, Dhoni is yet to prove himself in the longest version, which is where history remembers more.

cric fan the losses also coincided with the decline in form sehwag, gambhir, laxman, dhoni....

by the way dhoni has many more wins in tests than losses and also he helped india reach no. 1 position in tests and maintained it for almost 2 years with bowlers like ishant, sreesanth, ozha, mishra, etc. who helped in taking 20 opposition wickets without which test win is not possible...

btw dhoni's performance in indian test wins is also nearly 50 runs per innings...

thus dhoni has proved himself very well in the longest version of the game, which is where history will remember him...
