Decline?
by Ramanujan S on Sep 05, 2012 10:18 AM  | Hide replies

He seems to be on Decline. An youngster should be given a chance. Laxman has retired voluntarily for sake of giving chance to a youngster.

Sorry, but I dont think anyone in the team retires "voluntarily". The last of such kind were Gavaskar and to an extent Kumble (in ODIs).

now 20 yr olds who was not even born when he made test debut are cleaning up him.
still the mumbai based comm. are defending him like their life depends on him
these comm. never came out and in fact were asking dravid laxman to quit.
double standards

Can't hide your breed
by vikadakavi on Sep 05, 2012 08:45 AM  | Hide replies

Ravi Shastri has written an article in Times of India with a caption which says critics are barking up the wrong tree.

It is difficult for people to hide their breed. Even when they are writing in respected English papers.

You know the worst part. They say "dont judge such a person with just 10 innings" or "you dont have any rights to comment because you have not played even 1/10000th of what he has" or typical "Get a lifeloser".... :)

With the last confident innings in a test coming way back in Jan-2011, what is remaining to judge him?

and those things that you stated apply only to sachin. when others struggle it is end for them.
sad but true i enjoyed him bat throughout his career but now looks pale shadow of his former self.
it is his choice , if he wnts to go out humiliated by almost all bowlers then so be it.WC 2011 was the perfect finish

True. I even remember Gavaskar saying when he slammed 200 that he wants to touch Sachin's feet.....! Such cynical comments are enough for our blind fanatic friends to start jumping....

Really shame
by meena on Sep 05, 2012 08:07 AM

I saw in Bangalore the sad faces of tiwary, rahane and badri itching to get start..this old man to please the sponosrs and to make crores of money he is playing..he was totally flop after WC in both test and ODIs...he should have been shown door long back...he joined politics to get backign from SHukla, sonia etc..No one has guts to sack him..if any selector by mistake sacks him..he would be get a ticket..shameless person..i dont know still people love him..ofcourse he was good ckter few years back but not now..he jsut playing since he committed to endorsement deals...100crores of money he will get but rahane, badri and tiwary all warm bench for another 4-5 years...will not watch inidan team ckt until this guy walks away..people should understand the reality and should not support him becuase of past records..in oz and eng did he scored single 100, against Wi in flat track he failed and only against bangla a test match 100 in ODI which cost India Asia cup..he skipped lanka tour to watch wimbledon and olympics and also he knew lanka was tough to face..He opted nzland tour thinking that it will be weak team and he can score few more 100s and to get more endorsement deals...

So, you mean that other players are not taking any money. Sports is a only profession where a sportsman in forced to retire in a premature way.

Leave Chachin alone. There are other areas which requires attn. Opening batsmen, pace bowling, pitches, umpiring, all rounders stadium etc
