sachin - i want to enjoy cricket
by abraham thomas on Dec 01, 2012 10:47 AM

Its true he wants to Enjoy cricket now. Then why not just play Ranji trophy and enjoy a lottttt. I have no problem with sachin, but just to enjoy is not a good statement from him. Still i respect him and love him as a cricketer. But again now time has come to think about his retirement.

and we can ask any one to quit. We have all the rights . If we want we will say the president to go. Who is sachin ? He is just a cricket player . He is no God. Yes he is a great batsman but there r many in the world . This is time he should retire or ppl have to protest against him.

So, how will you feel Mr. "People of India" - if your boss asks you to quit because you are not performing??? That too when you know that your are giving your 150%, just that things are not working right for you at the moment.

Won't you ask him to give you some time to sort out the things? What if he continuously pesters you to resign? Will you be able to concentrate on your job - No.... Because your concentration will be on saving your position, not on doing a good job...

Exactly the same thing happening with sachin!!

Please show your anger towards the dirty politicians who have accounts in swiss banks and ask them to step down, if you are a true Indian... I am not encouraging sachin to continue... But he deserves bit more respect from Indians as he only made the game popular in India in the 90's...

regarding sachin.
by TAPAN KUMAR DAS on Dec 01, 2012 10:42 AM

Hi,If u think sachin should get retirement, you are wrong.Just think,at this moment if sachin will quit from cricket, cricket will loose its importance. It will go 20 years back.We cant think cricket without SACHIN.

Clout

I sometimes wonder whether Sachin would have been so reverred and have so much clout if he belonged to a small city like say bhopal, jaipur ,lucknow etc, instead of being from mumbai. this metro has the maximum clout amongst all indian cities.

Selfish Sachin !!!
by Cedric Vaz on Dec 01, 2012 10:10 AM

In war, one is taught to always put country before oneself, as one "fights" for the country's pride. And cricket is no different from war, as here one "plays" for the country's pride. No individual however great is bigger than the country or a sport !

Time to go..........
by ashok mani on Dec 01, 2012 10:07 AM

When he performs people say he must continue.......when he hits a bad patch............people say be will bounce back...........

so when is it time to go?? Performance or no performance the Cricket Fan is bored with such 'mountains'.........who play very placid cricket.....so he must go.......the question is with grace or thrown out.........decide.

Bedi..............why are you now looking for a meal ticket......
by ashok mani on Dec 01, 2012 10:04 AM  | Hide replies

Is it an Indian mentality that we can't think of the idea of 'retiring' our parents and grandparents from their role of taking care of us!!!!. .............Now retirement does not mean fading away.............do something relevant in the field - cricket camps, commentary, writing coaching or anything else you choose to do.......like some NGO work

very well said mani,

most people here who support sachin are those who depend upon their (fore) fathers...these people who support sachin are unemployed worthless people for whom their parents and grandparents work so that they can eat...

these people are the ones who should take care of their parents and grandparents but the opposite happens their parents and grandparents take their care...:)

madanmohan siddhanthi, why dont start to look for work and earn your own living rather than sending your parents and grandparents to work and live on their handouts?

have some guts. You were criticizing every one when you were paid to shout from the roof top " match ki mujreem koun hai". That time I wanted to kick your rear, but now you are talking loose.
