Gavaskar is spot on.. If English spinners can get wickets so easily.. why can't our guys with umpires helping them so much.. In the 1st and 2nd test.. at least 8 english players were not out but given out ....

Indian Batters made 327 in first innings ..it was pretty good score to defend..Whole team failed the match but more blame goes to Spinners.

even though Ashwin did not live upto the high standards set by him lets not forget that he was second highest rungetter for india in both the innings. if ashwin was not there india could not score even 200

Aswins prime duty is to take wickets... He is there in the team not as a batsman but as a bowler. So, I think he is a wrong choice...
Once there was a big cat named saywhat. It used to be good at one point of time, but now is old and incapable..it does pulverise small cats on friendly pitches, but nobody has the guts to tell it is time up. Another cat very old one called masterplaster, had a knack of never contributing in any victory but also made sure that it could'nt be blamed in defeat, very strong survival instinct, now cannot differentiate between full toss and short pitched, but always has that look of bewilderment whenever its wicket is down..its incompetency is never the cause for the wicket cos it is always "a good ball",'hit the rough","didnt bounce enough"..who will tell the cat to go? Another goes by the name of "Jaw kheer can"..currently incapable of completing one full over forget a spell..considered master of reversal swing..now having a reversal of fortunes..can he swing it back or will someone tell the cat - it is time to go.

Dhoni failed as captain for sure..He had surprisingly defensive feilding set up and didnt even use yuvi at all..Similar opposition bowler Mpnty grabbed ten in match..Veru's offspin should hv given a try for couple of overs at least. Plus Viru dropped a catch and Ashwin missed run out ...Ind played with 3 spinners after loooong time..still failed..batters screwd up in second innings.. So in nutshell classic collective team fault...

very well said, he has a good test and odi record both as a bowler and as a captain...but some fools want our players to win 100% and succeed 100% of times...nothing can be done about them....

For all who Gavaskar is anti Ashwin, Gavaskar at times is tough against Tendulkar also. Yes. Aswhin should try to be more wise as he gains experience and not rely on his overconfident self assessment. Shd be down to earth and play according to the situation. Pls note I am from Chennai and a big fan of Ashwin.

hey u f*ckup ,India is ur motherland not Tamil Nadu.Guys like u give bad name to the whole region.Get ur facts,Ashwin is overhyped bowlers who can only bowl against mediocre teams like WI & NZL and get wickets.He is prime duty is of a bowler,where he needs to deliver and any runs he scores is a bonus for the team.
1)replace sehwag with Murli vijay 2)Replace yuvraj with manoj tewari 3)replace Tendulkar with unmukt chand 4 replace dhoni with vridhiman saha 5)replace bhajji with iqbal abdullah 6)replace zaheer khan with ashok dinda either make kohli or gambhir captain. indian team for the rest matches are bound to fail with those old jinxed players so why not try fresh ones?

Yes, It is because of the spinners and spinners alone. If Tendulkar and his other qualified batsmen cannot score collectively more than Ashwin - it is OK. But why Yuvraj did not get wickets? Why not Dhoni bowl?
