What is use if the umpires are bought and match fixed earlier??? aleem dar and tony hill played for the british team, for favours received, eprhaps??? who knows???BCCI must replace paki umpire aleem dar and britihs umpire tony hill for
the kolata and other test macth too since they were playing for the brits with biased decisions in their favour and those decisions made india lose the match too! Whether the umpires received money for theirfavours is not known, but possible and umpires must lose their matchfees if they make wrong decisions or all decisions must be ratifie by a
third or fourth umpire in future to avoid match fixing, etc, shame mumabu test macth was fixed since the british team were playing with 13 players, what a shame!

Seems like We need a Spin Academy
by RSS on Nov 28, 2012 12:13 AM

Similar to MRF Pace academy in Chennai, Then also would you Expect Great Spinners to come from the Future generation ????

Or will it prove to be futile like the present pace academy ???????

we need nasty fast bowler
by Tarun P on Nov 28, 2012 12:08 AM  | Hide replies

indian cricket is in despirate need of one or two nasty and real fast pacers. Someone who lives on murgaas, goats, tandoori chickens, fishes and kababs...not one who eats the grass (like Ishant)..

We had Shanthakumar Shreeshanth, he was so nasty, he was eventually disposed of by BCCI due to temperamental imbalance.

our players are fit for nothing
by bhaskar on Nov 27, 2012 08:40 PM

as they eat filthy oily food and drive ferraris. They are injured when a stone pellet is thrown at them and throw away their wicket if they score about 10 runs because of want of rest and sr player like to relax in the stands for most part of their play.

BIG TALK
by vinu thomas on Nov 27, 2012 06:17 PM

Sir please do something for the team rather than sitting on the commentary box and yapping or on talk shows.

Indian team deserves this after producing batsmen after batsmen and treating its bowlers like leftovers preparing dead pitches. We look like a school team when playing abroad.
Our pace bowlers are equivalent to slow medium pace and instill no fear. Zaks is past his prime just playing till he gets kicked out.

BCCI grooming team for future?? I doubt it, how many fast bowlers do we have in our ranks and substitutes.World cup 2015 is in Australia.
India please keep on playing IPL and in the subcontinent where masses rejoice when you score centuries over centuries and heap praises on your genius.

Mr Gavaskar.. Could you please name
by surya das on Nov 27, 2012 12:20 PM  | Hide replies

one single player in pesent team or sitting on bench have calibre to ply an innings like Du Plessis who batted 7 hours on his debut against all odds to save a test match for SA.

Accept the fact that Eng ve much superior batting line up against so called paper tigers.. And in bowling dept too they ve two quality spinners against ours (only Ojha bowls someo how good rest are looking ineffective).

If you ve guts tell Sachin leave this team alone, don't play for his own records, and Dhoni, test is not your cup of tea..better concnertrate on T20 or ODI only.. Good luck to team India

dhoni is not even T-20 player.
Check his records.
after playing 37 matches, no fifty, no MOM & no match winning inning even after manipulating batting position.Strike rate also pathetic 108.

out of those 37 matches india have won around 19 matches in which dhoni has an average of 37 and strike rate of 138.75 he has 50 plus average in odis and winning causes it grows to awesome proportions....while in test wins his contribution is 48 runs average per innings..

ASHISH KUMAR, check the stas published in all major newspapers today and you will find that in the last 15 tests he averages more than sachin...and those 15 tests cover not only the matches in india against vs nz and eng but also away series tests against eng aus and sa...

Mr.Vaidya, don't jump in support of Dhoni at every opportunity to cover up his failities.
Tell me his scores in ENG and AUS,his avg is better because he was not out on couple of occasions against NZL & when u reamin Not out,it boosts ur avg.Dhoni is a mediocre test batsman who cannot bat against quality bowling. He can either score on flat subcontinent wickets or against weak bowling attacks like WI or NZL.
And it's better to not talk abt his captaincy skills, like once Mark Waugh commented that he waits for things to happen rather than making them happen. This attitude will work in ODIs & T20s where u can restrict opposition and win matches not tests, where u need to take 20 wkts.

itla kumar, dhoni has a very good record in tests...in case you have forgotten under him we became no. 1 in tests and maintained it for about 2 years...and he did with bowlers like zaheer, bhajji, ishant sreesanth, mishra, ojha etc. it is very unfairly portrayed that he is a poor captain or lucky captain and has inherited ganguly's team. dont forget that before dhoni ''inherited'' ganguly's team it was dravid and kumble who ''inherited ganguly's team before dhoni''...also let me point out to you that ganguly himself created no team but he got a readymade team consisting of ganguly himself, dravid, sachin, laxman bhajji kumble etc. which he inherited from our first really successful captain azhar...

just dont jump the bandwagon and criticise dhoni at every point...please be reasonable...

itla kumar it is not surprising that the likes taylor, steve waugh ian chappell criticise dhoni ...it is only a part of their mindgames and very little truth in it...

in fact even greg chappell who coached india for quite some time and under whose reign we did quite well (except in the wc) really was impressed by dhoni and had predicted that dhoni will soon become captain of indian team which came true...

Read and think beyond newspapers man..Afterall dont u know media is biased too...Most of the reporter are/were not sports(wo)men themselve...they just need to create some story. Forget test avg, in this test...Dhoni failed as captain for sure..He had surprisingly defensive feilding set up and didnt even use yuvi at all..Similar opposition bowler Mpnty grabbed ten in match..Veru's offspin should hv given a try for couple of overs at least.
