is most disappointing..sehwag AGAIN blundered in keeping most experienced (purple cap) bowler and introducing some novice in crucial tie (was it fixed?)..if there is a award for the worst captain this will go to sehwag..no doubt.

sehwag is not one of the best captains around, but no captain can be as foolish as he was to drop morkel and include a debutant for the crunch tie and to give a vague explanation for it. it was certainly bizzare . the way the last few results panned out. made me lose credibility in ipl.

What is a league....every team plays each other home and away and finally who tops with max points wins the league..this is the rule followed in every country for any sport be it soccer, basketball or even handball.IPL is the only league in the world which has this playoffs and finals...this cannot be considered as a league tournament....the actual winners are delhi daredevils as they had topped the league this year..

Agree with your idea of a league, but I guess there are leagues where we have finals and playoffs as well. For example, American Major League Baseball has the world series, NBA also has a playoff and so do English 2nd division football league (I think its called NatWest Series - not sure) whose winners and runners up qualify for the English Premier League. I guess in cricket we are still not ready with the proper league system you are referring to, especially in India. We want to see the knockout stages to build the excitement. Consider this if there is an International cricket league, South Africa will always be the winner because they are very consistent at the league stage. The knock out stages bring out the real champion in you.

i do not agree with both of yr above comments... abhishek...its an indian preimer league tournamnet ..and not a 2nd division league..want knockout to build excitment is not a good enough reason to do this.. ankur...champions league is a diff story all together..here there are many groups of 4 teams each and 2 qualify frm the group to the knockout stages...so again this is not the case here..there is only one group with 9 teams so the idea of playoffs and knockouts just does not make sense.

another example is the english premier league..both man city nd man united ended up with 89 points...but city won due to more goals scored..if they wanted they could hv had a playoff and decided who should hv won it..

No one is against KKR,they deserve the title. With the antics shown by SRK in Mumbai and yesterday (keeping the top portion of the cup on his head), doing somersault, I don't know if any owner would have done like that on the field.

Well I am not a partial fellow who just looks at owners and tell something. I know KKR deserves this but what I have said here about their owner is true.
A cricket field is not a film theatre to show such antics. There is some kind of decorum and it ought to be respected.
