Sachin is god and Rahul is too good. No comparison is required. He should have maintained his uniqueness and retired gracefully after the home series just before World Cup 2007.
no doubt that ganguly is a liability to the PWI team, just like was for the indian team. It must be extremely frustrating for the rest of the team members to be under such an incompetent leader who doesnt even strive to perform. Ganguly is only worsening his already battered reputation.

Battered Reputation?? Which part of the world do you live mate?? Or I guess you don't even know the ABC of Cricket! I agree with the part, that in this IPL, he has been a liability for PWI, but if you want to judge him on these useless T20s, my deep sympathies with you. Get well soon.

Ironic that is happens to Ganguly! Is it not correct to say that it happens to whoever chooses Ganguly that thier team finishes last or 2nd to last!
Sahara is the main villain not to take part in the auction and all key players were taken by other teams. As a captain is as good as his team, what more Ganguly can do, due to his shrewd captaincy and team performance PWI win some matches and also he perform well against DD, but to qualify for semifinal captaincy will not be enough, it needs performance from full team. Inconsistency is the main reason for PWI loss and no real match winner. If Ganguly can be criticized for slow batting then others also. Total media and CKT think tanks praised Ganguly for victory against Mumbai,Chennai and DD. Before starting of the tournament did anybody really thought about semifinal entry of PWI with this weak team ? Once PWI won 3-4 matches everyone started dreaming. Other team took extra players in place of injured players but why did not Sahara in place of G.Smith and Yuvi ? Why they were silent during the IPL auction ?Just look at the squad and reserve bench of others and PWI and picture will be clear. IPL 3 Ganguly scored 493 runs(strike rate-118) which was top in KKR and 4 th among all batsman in IPL 3. Due to coach Bukanon with his multiple captain theory KKR was loosing , if Sahrukh was so confident why did not he kept the same team with Bukanon except Ganguly and show winning performance? IPL 5 Ganguly scored 261 in 13 matches, 3 rd in PWI after Uthappa and Smith and 19 th among all players in IPL 5. Raina(Regular Player) 18 th with 265 runs and Kohli (Vice captain India)20th with

237 runs. Only 11 Indian players are there in top 20 list so far. Dhoni,Sachin,Jadeja are not there. Match agaist Punjab - Dinda drop Marsh,Rider misses run out chance of Marsh and he scored 64 and took away match. Match against Bangalore – Nehra gave 24 runs in last over, offers full toss and half volley. Any captain must rely his most experienced bowler. Match agains DD – Slow batting by Uthhappa (60 of 58 and team score 148/2) Match against DC – Uthappa dropped White(74) and Sanga(82) Match against KKR – Smith was not out. Catch dropped by Dinda. Now if Sahara thinking about axing Ganguly they can do but if they have the courage then they should keep the same team except Ganguly and show better performance with the same team in IPL 6. Actually legend players like Sachin,Dravid,Sourav should not play IPL because here franchise is the last to take the decision in spite of knowing nothing about CKT and these players should not be puppet in their hand as they have so many laurels earned by playing for the country . Also T-20 is such a game that big players may be unsuccessful here but a common unknown player can be a match winner in his particular day. How many knows about Valthathy – hero of IP-4 but in IPL 5 he has flopped. Are Dhawan or Rahane or Karthik better player than Sachin, Dravid, Ganguly or Dhoni ? In fact class of a player never changes though his form or arena may be changed and T-20 is not a real platform to measure performance of

someone in a game like CKT, in test or ODI everybody knows legends of Indian CKT who uplift fame of India either by Batting or Bowling or by Captaincy.

I can understand your point also with 3 more games nothing will change! But there is no doubt that Saurav Ganguly really is a spent force as is seen in the field and with the bat ! This year may be the final year for players like Ganguly , Gilchirst !

No one is arguing about his cricketing skills....but he is not fit for T20 format (like VVS Lakshman)...so let's not talk about how good he was in ODI or compare his statistics with other Indian players. - Even if Raina has not scored many runs, he strike rate is always 130 ...so if he fails, it will not put pressure on rest of the team. - He is given more credit for his captaincy skills...but he has to be first a better player to be in the T20 team & then cpatain it.
It should happen today or tomorrow, considering the last few outings of PWI. Sourav should quit the field by himself, he is one of the greatest architect of modern day indian cricket but appears to be flop in T20 games. The killing technique of this fast paced cricket doesn't really seems to suite our Dada. The way all it started in this IPL suddenly gone because of unimaginable changes of playing eleven in last few outings. Why so much experiment still mystery. Its all about winning and that everyone wants not name & fame.

When he started playing T20 he was almost finished. Now he is totally finished. This is something which he declines to accept.
