there is an end date for every one.sachin is definitely scoring runs..but, when the need of the hour is to up the scoring rate, he selfishly slows down to achieve his personal milestone..can he or the selector or the BCCI deny this??its been happening in many centuries of his but just that the deliberate slowness on the 100th ton was more visible..
it is this attitude of him that has costed the team the match and the asia cup itself..we can argue what are the rest of the 10 players doing or cant we defend 290 against bangladesh..but, we went tehre with one of the worst bowling attack which can be clobbered for 300 runs easily..keeping this in mind, 290 was not sufficient..
had the greats like gavaskar or amarnath not retired on time, tendulkar would have arrived much later than 1989..so its imperative on the part of him to hang up his boots to make way for many more young talents like him..
-Don't take all the runs scored in Bangla Desh too seriously. - Get our batsmen to play on fast bouncy tracks and then watch who does well - Remove all bowlers who bowl full tosses under pressure -Remove all quickies who can't bowl yorkers in the death - REmove all slow bowlers who can't put it in the right areas consistently and who can't give the ball a good tweak.IE remove all pretenders to the spin throne. - Prepare for Tests as well as ODIs. Treat T20 only as a sideshow.

But Pak scored 270, to defend successfully, SL scored 240 to bring BD to come up to 49th or 50th over. Again in finals, PAK scored 230 still defended successfully.. I was thinking why we couldn't defend 289 against BD... and u say though we posted highest total against them, we lost because Sachin scored 100... Boss..! have some..:)
